Jesus spent most of his time healing the sick.
Today, we have politicians in Congress with “Christ-follower” in their Twitter bios — but they’re trying to kick the sick off their healthcare.
And they’re willing to shut down the government to do it.
Reminder #8a: So let’s help reduce pressure by encouraging students to take fewer AP courses well, rather than more AP courses superficially. We’ve shared this research with college admissions offices nationwide: onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/abs/10.111…
I’ve just arrived in Cincinnati to check in with the great faculty scoring the AP French and AP Spanish exams, but some other AP subjects have completed the majority of scoring work, so I’ll be able to start posting results tomorrow. But first, a few quick reminders:

Writing isn't what you do after you have an idea. It's how you develop an inkling into an insight.
Turning thoughts into words sharpens reasoning. What's fuzzy in your head is clear on the page.
"I'm not a writer" shouldn't stop you from writing. Writing is a tool for thinking.
Saying good-bye is never easy, but I want to thank my AISD AHS & SCHS families from the bottom of my heart. You all taught me so much! Take care of the kids. I’ll miss them.💙🧡
Excited for my journey as the College Now Coordinator at SHHS! Thanks for the support already!❤️🖤
@Julie4TX I remember sitting in my 2nd grade classroom talking to the kid beside me about how I was really glad we lost the war because nobody should be owned or treated that way. I wasn’t emotionally damaged, if anything, it made me more compassionate and understanding of the fact that
1) It was slavery, not involuntary relocation. 2) Six and 7 year olds should not be taught about slavery. Little children are not emotionally mature enough. 3) SB3 does not ban teaching slavery, it bans emotionally damaging children through CRT.

(part 2 of 2): An incredible 86% of 10th graders who take AP Seminar earn scores of 3+, and then have significant academic gains in the rest of high school. I’ve become convinced that this course is the single best AP entry point for a wide range of students.
Schools have done something with AP Seminar far wiser than we originally intended: many now use it as 10th grade English to make it widely available by also fulfilling a requirement for high school graduation; the results prove these schools were right to do so...(part 1 of 2)
