Has Leclerc performed terribly in the last few races? No doubt he’s nowhere near his standards But the 40 points gap to HAM in WDC is exaggerated bc LEC has had far more reliability issues than him, so much worse that he’s had 2 consecutive DNFs throughout no fault of his own

Rotten luck for Leclerc with a hydraulic failure with a handful of laps to go in what will be another pointless race. Also missed the VSC by half a lap to stay ahead of Verstappen. The wheel will turn, he will be back. Needs a desperate mental reset and a reevaluation of his approach in qualifying. His pace was right up there in clean air for 2/3rds of the race, the two-stop strategy did not seem the way to go either. It's a long old season this one. Forza Charles.❤️

I just think if you gave every driver some video-game-like rewind button, they could all go plenty faster, so imo you gotta be careful analysing pace of drivers that overdo it

Ferrari was flying in the corners in Qualifying, posting the top two fastest average speeds. I think Leclerc had a real chance at pole without the crash.

@_trickyreds Yh you're right to a point. I think in most of his years he's over performed the car and sometimes being unlucky with reliability or shit Ferrari strategies. I do think however his execution at this age should be more refined and sharp. Hes making same errors as he did at 24

I really feel for charles man. I hope he can get out of his head because he's an incredible driver.

@TrackSimsF1 I disagree with your last point, respectfully. They could all go faster if they went beyond the limit. If he's so on the limit that he crashes every handful of laps, it's not representative pace imo

To clarify - there were no brake ISSUES for Leclerc. Either he meant to bleed off less speed into that corner, or his feel on the brakes at Q3 level limit is off. He carries almost 10kph more speed in there than before, and that is way too much to be aggressive on throttle. He’s got to own that, but I’m also not shocked by it. Before the weekend I felt this was coming, such a massive change to the driving feel was going way too smoothly 😂. But what a bad time for a mistake, when we now see he had an outside shot at pole.

@MohBJalloh the way i see it is when you see all of his win chances, you eliminate a lot of them for external factors that arent his fault, and really France is the only race that he should ve won and messed up that I can remember rn. maybe there are at least a few more, but not that many..

@MohBJalloh i mean yea, he had a lot of chances, but he either put on poles cars that shouldnt have been there (Hungary last year) or cars that were extraordinary in quali trim compared to race trim (baku for like 2 or 3 times). or being really unlucky (2022 season except for france)
