Since Arabs are finished, and now that Iran is going to be finished, next is probably Turkey. Now what will the West and Israel use against Turkey? Because unlike Iran, Turkey does not have mandatory hijab. By Western standards, Turkey is a 'relatively normal Muslim country'.

@ThatchEffendi @Tastelessmodel Western Turks are very close to Greeks and Balkans. Many Western Turks also descend from Balkan Muslims that moved to Turkey 100-150 years ago. But Central/Eastern Turks are more like Armenians/Georgians than Greeks or Balkans.

@dr_omeragic @Tastelessmodel IIRC the last truly major impact on the genetics of the region was during the Bronze Age Collapse. You can genetically see the difference between Muslim and Druze/Christian Lebanese people, but it's not as big as something like the difference between Turks and Greeks.

@ThatchEffendi @Tastelessmodel Ghassanids migrated to the Levant before Islam. There were Arab migrations to the Levant before Islam. But yes you are right that real Arabs were never a majority in the Levant (outside of maybe Jordan). The majority of modern Levantines are Phoenician/Canaanite Aramean origin.

@dr_omeragic @Tastelessmodel It is true that Christians were part of the Arab migration during the Rashidun-Ummayad conquests but the aDNA makes it clear they weren't the majority.

@lookagain0 @Iranian_maliki @SameeraKhan Iran wasn't uncivilized before Islam, nor it was an idol worshipping country. Zoroastrianism was monotheistic believing in one God, Ahura Mazda. Fire in Zoroastrianism was a mere symbol that Zoroastrians used to face when praying, just like the Kaaba for Muslims.

@Iranian_maliki @SameeraKhan The Shah was a practicing Shia Muslim. The majority of Iranians were Shia Muslims and conservatives even if they weren’t wearing a head scarf. Before Iran became a Muslim country, they were praying to idols and fire - godless and uncivilised.

@MangingisdaSays It's called capital flight. The UK economy is in fact largely based upon capital flight from 3rd world countries. $16 billion from Bangladesh flows into the UK annually. During Sheikh Hasina's 15 year reign, $234 billion was stolen from Bangladesh. Privatization is theft.

@MangingisdaSays It's called neoliberalism, aka neocolonialism where everything gets stolen in the name of privatization. Local oligarchs in this neoliberal capitalist system will also extract money from the country and put it in the West. For example Bangladesh. comsuregroup.com/news/annually-…

FYI Singapore is a microstate that has little natural resources and depends on labor from Southeast Asian migrants. Meanwhile, Indonesia, Philippines etc. has vast natural resources but many foreign companies exploit these at the expense of the environment and communities.

@efgambit @PJ11819211 If Ataturk was alive today, he would not approve of either modern Kemalists or AKP Islamists. He would align with the modern Turkish left. The Turkish left are anti Western, they are not anti Islam but they hate Islamist parties because Islamist parties are economic liberals.

@efgambit @PJ11819211 In the 1990s, Turkey had economic crisis just like today. 100% inflation, million lira note. Erdogan in his earlier years appeared to have solved it, but by the 2010s it became the same again.

I think one of my favorite types of interactions is when you see Right Wing Islamists completely misunderstand Conservative Turks and think insulting Ataturk will get a positive reaction from the latter.

@efgambit @PJ11819211 Being in the League of Nations doesn't mean being pro Western. The League of Nations was like the UN today. The USSR and Japan were hostile to the West at the time, and they were also in the League of Nations Russia, China, North Korea are in the UN now en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Member_st…

@dr_omeragic @PJ11819211 and we see currently the danger of political islam and where it led the country. You're saying Ataturk would never politically get close to the west yet we joined League of Nations during his time.

@SultanMuaddib Western “logic” is unlimited girlfriends who have no legal recognition is fine, but polygamy with 4 limit is bad. It’s sad how so many Muslims now let the West decide what is good and what is bad. Many Muslims now believe unlimited girlfriends are fine but polygamy is bad.

It makes me sad that people find it hard to believe Palestinians want peace. Those people should ask themselves how many Palestinians they have actually met and is it fair to generalize all based on few clips they saw on YouTube or TikTok. 🕊️🙏🕊️🙏

This reminds me of when Islamists seized power in Iran 47 years ago, they replaced the ancient Lion and Sun flag, symbols of Persian heritage, with Arabic script spelling "Allah." It was a deliberate act of cultural erasure. This same pattern continues today: radical Islamists gradually replace local symbols, languages, and traditions with their own as they expand influence across countries. Radical Islamists do not belong in the West. They should leave the United States and return to the societies that match their values.
