Jason Calacanis on Trump’s declining net approval rating: “The Democrats are gonna shellac the Republicans in the midterms if this continues.” “It's not pretty for Trump right now.” “His polling is at an all-time low.” He points out the timing of four dips on the net approval chart: - Liberation Day tariffs in April - LA ICE riots in June - Not releasing the Epstein files in July - Chicago ICE raids in September “And if you look at CBS news, only 17% of Americans believe Trump is making them better, and 58% don't want the National Guard in our cities.” “People oppose what Trump is doing right now, and he is at an all-time low.” “So you have to ask yourself why?” “I think this is because he's drifted from the 2.0 policies: closing the border, lower taxes, no taxes on tips, pro-business, pro-innovation, and relentlessly trying to stop wars. This all is the best of Trump.” “What don't we like about the Trump 1.0 platform? The violence of January 6th, ICE agents in masks beating powerless, hardworking immigrants, sending in the National Guard.” “This is what people don’t like. They don't like the chaos.” “And so I would like to lobby my friends who are in the administration or around it, and the people I know in the administration to think through this.” “Because what's at stake are the midterms. The Democrats are gonna shellac the Republicans in the midterms if this continues.” “Nobody wants this type of violence. Nobody wants to see people beaten. Nobody wants to see mothers thrown on the ground as their children are crying just because they came here 20 years ago, 10 years ago, when Republicans … were the biggest proponents of letting people in from Mexico to work here, because we needed cheap labor.” “We as Americans have an obligation to these people who we brought into this country to treat them with compassion. And we're not doing that.”

Dear Democratic politicians, may I make a humble suggestion? Stop with the constant use of the F word. Not only is it tacky, it loses its impact when you do it so much, and honestly it looks forced like you’re trying to be tough. Just a suggestion.
