The contracts cited are indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity (IDIQ) contracts put in place ahead of the season to ensure availability if needed. HHS and CDC have not purchased COVID-19 vaccines for the upcoming respiratory season and have made no decisions regarding future purchases. IDIQ contracts allowing future orders are not the same as spending taxpayer dollars.

Cody Hudson is in critical condition. We need a miracle! He is in cariogenic shock. He received both chemical and electrical cardioversion shocks to restore his heart rhythm last night. We were asked to prepare to put him on life support last night, but miraculously, his heart started beating on its own, and regained its rhythm again. He has been on oxygen and medications to raise his blood pressure and keep his pulse rate steady. He has a terminal blood clotting disorder from his COVID-19 vaccines he took in 2021. He developed related Libman-Sacks endocarditis with blood clots in his heart (seen on imaging about eight weeks ago). He had a failing valve at that time and now his condition has worsened and he has more than a failing valve—his entire heart is failing. But, he cannot have open-heart surgery to repair or replace his heart because his blood clotting disorder is too aggressive. He is losing circulation in his legs, as often happens with significant clotting disorders when the heart is failing. He is in advanced heart failure, but we are fighting to regain any heart function possible. The fact that he has made it almost 24 hours since entering the emergency room is a miracle. We are praying for more miracles because he is only 26 and has been sick for nearly five years since his COVID-19 vaccine. His case is peer-reviewed, published, and well recognized. He does not deserve this life sentence. He deserves better! We are asking for prayer for young Cody from every prayer group, every prayer circle, every person of faith, and every person who believes that caring for others is powerful. Please think of Cody and send your heartfelt wishes and prayers that he might receive any amount of recovery and a miracle to overcome this devastating illness.
