Today, Christians throughout the world celebrate Good Friday. This is one of the most meaningful days for believers because we recognize the suffering and torture that Jesus went through as His sacrifice for our sins. Through Christ’s suffering and sacrifice, He made possible the greatest gifts of all: forgiveness, redemption and eternal life. May Christians throughout the world worship in peace because today we must remember that Christianity, particularly in Africa and the Middle East, is under siege. I would urge us all to pray for the safety and wellbeing of our Christian brothers and sisters in troubled lands. May God bless them and keep them safe on this and every day.
