What an ignorant post! President Isaias is the man of the people. The president, the people, the country have been demonised to fit western 'human rights' narrative and intervention. With the aim to cripple the country economically and to starve the people, sanctions - economic war was imposed for almost 20 yrs. The youth was strategically depopulated using the UN to ensure the national development plans cannot take place and the country remains defenceless. All this because Eritrea refused to sign an agreement with Africom in 2008 and give its ports and US boots on the ground. Eritrea is still protected and developed by its youth, despite the adversities. A people and country fiercely independent, resilient. Safe and stable Eritrea where no one sleeps with empty stomach where every child goes to school and every mother gets access to health care -all for free. Eritrea is non aligned, it draws its own path, makes alliances based on its interest - with any party. The US had a misguided take. The sanctions are both illegal and unethical. If anyone, the people of Eritrea will be vindicated if the US sanctiond are lifted. President Isaias is the son of the people.
