6 years ago, the biggest crime syndicate in South Africa locked us in our homes. What was supposed to be 21 days became more than 2 years. They sent police and soldiers into our streets with rifles and shotguns. They destroyed livelihoods, tore families apart and left children to starve. And while the country suffered, they looted.
