Cancer immunity in a shot. Scientists at the University of Florida have created a breakthrough mRNA cancer vaccine that erased deadly brain tumors in early human trials without chemo or radiation. Tested on four glioblastoma patients, the vaccine reprogrammed their immune systems within 48 hours to attack the tumor. Built from each patient’s own tumor cells and delivered via lipid nanoparticles, it showed success similar to earlier tests in mice and dogs. It is now moving into Phase 1 pediatric trials.

For decades, the non-pregnant uterus has been viewed as a dormant organ with no significant role beyond reproduction. A groundbreaking study from Arizona State University challenges this long-standing belief. In a series of experiments, researchers surgically removed the uterus from rats while leaving the ovaries intact. These animals developed a clear deficit in spatial working memory, the ability to temporarily hold and manipulate information needed for tasks like navigation, learning, and reasoning. The impairment became especially evident as cognitive demands increased. The findings suggest the existence of a direct uterus–brain connection (in addition to the well-known ovary–brain axis) that helps maintain cognitive function. Rats that underwent hysterectomy showed altered hormone profiles and struggled more with high-demand memory tasks compared to those with intact uteri or those whose ovaries were also removed. Analysis of blood samples from vaccinated individuals revealed elevated levels of two cytokines—CXCL10 and interferon-gamma (IFN-γ)—in those who developed post-vaccination myocarditis. These signaling proteins initiate a two-step inflammatory cascade: CXCL10, primarily produced by macrophages in response to the vaccine, recruits T cells that release IFN-γ, which in turn attracts aggressive immune cells (such as neutrophils and macrophages) to the heart, leading to tissue damage. In preclinical models (including mice and human cardiac tissue), neutralizing CXCL10 and IFN-γ significantly reduced cardiac injury and immune cell infiltration without impairing the vaccine's overall immunogenicity. Additionally, pretreatment with genistein—a soy-derived anti-inflammatory compound—attenuated the cytokine surge and mitigated heart damage in these models. Vaccine-associated myocarditis typically presents with symptoms like chest pain, shortness of breath, and palpitations shortly after the second dose and remains exceedingly rare. Importantly, SARS-CoV-2 infection itself poses a substantially higher risk of myocarditis—along with severe multisystem complications—reinforcing that the benefits of mRNA vaccination far exceed the risks. Statistics report 1 case of myocarditis in 9,000–25,000 doses for the highest-risk groups, adolescent and young adult males, particularly after the second dose. Rates were much lower in females, older adults, and after first or booster doses. The Democrat framing on affordability is basically right. Life is too expensive for the average person, and people aren’t imagining it. New cars are averaging around $50k. Rent, groceries, insurance, utilities, healthcare, and borrowing costs are all eating people alive. You can cut subscriptions and “fun money” and still feel squeezed because the mandatory stuff is what exploded. Calling affordability concerns “bullshit” is politically tone-deaf. People do not care what the macro charts say if their paycheck buys less life than it used to.
