Random idea because I actually think Ja makes a lot of sense in Boston
You’d have to include a young promising prospect (would rather include Clayton but that’s not good enough). You have plenty of picks to include. This version leaves the Grizz with all their own picks still 🤷🏻♂️
@mxziknGG@JoeMullinax lol i never said it made us a favorite to win. I think this team needs some veteran leaders. Brown could be that. Or we
Could sit back for 10 years and watch thunder and spurs go title for title every year. Then maybe we ready for splash lol
ALL IN!!
Memphis receives- Jaylen Brown, Herb Jones
Boston receives- Dejounte Murray, Kentavious Caldwell-Pope, FOUR future Memphis 1sts (2027 LAL/2029 MEM/2031 PHX/2033 MEM)
New Orleans receives- Ja Morant, Sam Hauser, TWO future Memphis 1sts (2027 MEM/2030 ORL)
Who says no?
@bax_1108@JoeMullinax What makes you think adding brown makes us a favorite to win within the next 2 seasons, cuz if he don’t then it don’t matter at that point you’ll have to pay coward boozer Edey and anyone else
@FinnsLane I mean I get trading him for something else or even nothing of value but giving up an asset to trade him doesn’t make sense just wait till his contract up there’s no one we gotta pay
I don't trust Ja Morant enough to say let him play to up his value by the deadline. He hasn't played 8 consecutive games in over 5 seasons!! If you have to add A single asset to move him by all means pack his fucking bags.
After being a finalist in LaMelo Ball trade talks, the Raptors have tipped their hand on wanting an upgrade at point guard.
If the Grizzlies are required to attach draft capital, plus take on a bad contract (Jakob Poeltl), Toronto could become a strong trade match for Ja Morant.
@chriman_ That would’ve been a damn near guaranteed championship tho, Ja,Bane,Jaren all at their peaks along with Steven Adams any good wing would’ve made us the favorites, what makes you think adding JB would make us favorites this year
Another 10 1st round picks available to trade over the next few years, and Boston only wants 4. If you were willing to give 5 for OG and Bridges, kinda makes sense to give the 4 for Jaylen Brown.
@JoeMullinax Personally just don’t think you should go superstar hunting with this team, the superstars are already on this team, don’t mesh timelines like last time and build solid players around the players we already have, if you trade ja, then trade for a good depth piece
@dalilgmayne@DBaneBurna@GrizzFan76 One of the best passers/playmakers itl, have no one else to pay would make the rookies/young guys job a little easier, if it don’t work then oh well he’ll be an expiring and we got 3 firsts next year, but jf it does work then that changes everything
@DBaneBurna@GrizzFan76 Man theres no upside to keeping him do you want to develop two-four rookies around a guy that cant shoot, cant defend, doesnt fit the modern nba and has attitude issues?
