My dad died last year from colon cancer. I found out he only had a few days left. I ran out of a dinner in New York still in a suit covered in paint, caught the first flight out of JFK with no bags, and ended up in a stark Vegas hospital. The last time I’d seen him was in a courtroom ten years ago, and now here we were. I didn’t know how to feel. Life felt fragile. I looked at my hands, the same hands I’ve made every piece of art with, and saw how much they looked like his. i grew up with slot machines everywhere: grocery stores, gas stations, every corner of Vegas. When I tried to sum up that year, no painting felt right. It had to be this. Chaotic spins, highs and lows, how fast it can all change in the desert. i poured myself into it. And when I look at it now, I see myself and my life staring back at me

@magnumdong1992 Couldnt agree more. Grabbed the M80 575 in 2015 and it instantly turned new balances into something to collect and appreciate. First somewhat obscure pair of shoes i wore that someone else recognized. First time i felt a part of a sneaker community outside of the hype at the time

I would argue that CNCPTS really started the acceleration in regards to New Balance being treated as a fashion forward sneaker. This was the first sneaker that I paid stupid resale for in 2011

So I sent this same exact tag team card to @PSAcard awhile ago, they agreed it was a psa 4. So I cracked it opened, sent it back in December. I didn’t see any flaws with the card at all. Today I got the results and it came back a psa 10 The consistency is for sure not all there.
