@STN_Airport Thanks for passing it on though, the management really need to do better. Until that time make sure you're always overstaffed and there are always free open security lanes. Do more to offload busy lanes. If staff retention is an issue treat them better.

@STN_Airport I'm though, I know what Stansted is like so left plenty of time, also my flight is delayed. But several people asked what they could do and they were told to ask if they could push though the queue! It's simple really, sort the security queueing issues that seem to plague STN.

Well the security queues at @STN_Airport are a joke once again. Just avoid this airport and go somewhere else. Never seen it this bad anywhere else...

Just had a call from @OctopusEnergy letting me know that they are going to fix the damage and will be in touch next week. Phew, that's a weight off! ☺️

Pipe has been replaced. Left everything unlagged to keep an eye on it. Getting to need to think about house repairs now, probably looking at over a thousand with all of the ceiling damage. The heatpump install regret is real now @OctopusEnergy 😭

@AMBRSurreth @OctopusEnergy Yeah it seems mad that they can just develop holes. Hopefully octopus can help fix this... Really making me regret the heatpump install at the moment. 🫩

@nutterguy @OctopusEnergy Awk, I can sympathize. I had dodgy copper pipes going in the radiators and snapped easy. Had to get rid of the carpet. Hoping you get it fixed at no extra cost. Copper pipes are not great nowadays for todays standards. They need to change them.

Well, my @OctopusEnergy heatpump install started leaking out of the hot water cylinder this morning sometime and I've come downstairs to water everywhere, wet ceiling and walls. Called them an hour ago and said it was an emergency, let see what happens...

@AMBRSurreth @OctopusEnergy Yeah, I've got an engineer here. Fixed one hole in a copper pipe they installed, but we've since found another. Really making me wonder what kind of pipes are being used...

Second hole has been identified. I think this is some dodgy pipe, so waiting on that and replacing the pipe... Let's see. 😕

Engineer is now out and has identified a hole in one of the new pipes that the @OctopusEnergy team installed. Not sure exactly why it's decided now is a good time to leak, might be due to the corrosive flux in the system as it never got the power flush that was recommended.

@OctopusEnergy Well, I'm still waiting on a call back actually. I've called the emergency team twice. Ceiling is ruined and this is going to be a good test of the Octopus basic care plan I think.

The ride to orbit was much smoother than I had anticipated. Apart from the final minute before SECO, I barely felt any G-forces—it honestly felt like just another flight. I had imagined it would feel like being in an elevator that suddenly drops, but that sensation never came. If I hadn’t set free Tyler, the polar bear zero-gravity indicator, I might not have realized we were already weightless. I think being tightly strapped into our seat buckets made the transition less noticeable. The first few hours in microgravity weren’t exactly comfortable. Space motion sickness hit all of us—we felt nauseous and ended up vomiting a couple of times. It felt different from motion sickness in a car or at sea. You could still read on your iPad without making it worse. But even a small sip of water could upset your stomach and trigger vomiting. Rabea spent some time on the ham radio, making contact with Berlin. No one asked opening the cupola on the first day—we were all focused on managing the motion sickness. We had a movie night watching our own launch and went to sleep a bit earlier than scheduled. We all slept really well. By the second morning, I felt completely refreshed. The trace of motion sickness is all gone. We had breakfast, took a few X-ray images, and opened the cupola three minutes after midnight UTC—right above the South Pole. Stay tuned.
