Today, we're announcing our first hosted infrastructure product: pyx, a Python-native package registry. We think of pyx as an optimized backend for uv: it’s a package registry, but it also solves problems that go beyond the scope of a traditional "package registry".

@willmcgugan @learn_byexample An easier way to think about it is that it does not mimic loops. It mimics maths set builder notation

@learn_byexample That's a good rule of thumb. But it is still incongruent that that value to be appended comes first in an expression. In a nested loop situation the last line would be `my_list.append(value)`. Not arguing that it should be different. I just have a mental block about this one. 🤷‍♂️

Oh I like this! I can never remember the order of double barreled list / generator expressions. This feels so much more natural. peps.python.org/pep-0798/
