Was inspired by PewDiePie's vid to make my YouTube more minimal and remove the Homepage grid & shorts (I use the Stylus extension to add custom CSS) Homepage is blank so my only options now are the Subscriptions page or the search bar. Feels a lot cleaner, zero distractions.

Here's how you can do it: Add this to ~/.config/opencode/opencode.json: { "$schema": "opencode.ai/config.json", "plugin": [ "opencode-cursor-oauth" ], "provider": { "cursor": { "name": "Cursor" } } } Login with cursor: opencode auth login --provider cursor and you can now use Composer 2/Composer 2 Fast in OpenCode

@carlo_taleon major downside - only in cursor. They have a CLI and a web/cloud product, but it doesn't look like you can use this via other tools or an API

Composer 2 vs Opus 4.6 vs GPT 5.4 - a totally unscientific test
> Create a Twitter clone. Use Better Auth, Vite, Sqlite, Drizzle, Typescript, and React with Tanstack Start.
Each one took ~5 mins in plan mode. Each had access to a browser to test.
Composer: 5 mins $6.04 1,250 LOC
Opus: 19 mins $10.43 1,000 LOC
GPT: 22 mins $14.15 2,000 LOC
Opus seems to use the cache WAY more than composer, so it's not really 10x more expensive.
Composer app ran first try. Other two needed a bit of CORS debugging but did work.
Code between all was extremely similar
All three done inside cursor - so Claude Code / Codex may have been different
Models used:
Composer 2.0 (regular, not fast)
Opus 4.6 Medium Thinking
GPT 5.4 Medium Thinking

Cursor just launched Composer 2 - their own model. It's 10× cheaper than Opus 4.6 and supposed to rival it. I've been using it for a few days, I don't have any skewed graphs to show you but from a pure vibes POV I can tell you it's pretty good™ My litmus test right now is if it can build a 3D Printable model with Manifold CAD. I build a Gif zoetrope generator and it did fantastic.

It did feel slow from the get-go, but looking at the logs it put a bunch of server logic in shared client/server files and it had to refactor that. I've had this exact issue with opus before.
Then It spent more time debugging the auth.
I wonder if the Codex implementation would be faster - likely?

@wesbos Ah, thought auth didn’t work at all for the gpt one 😅 the time it took is interesting. I have refactored whole apps with Codex in less time than that with xhigh reasoning. Wonder why it struggled with this or if it’s something with Cursor.

Likely the same because tanstack scaffolding gives very clear design patterns for basic things that this included

Also, is a clone a straight copy? Looks like Opus did just copy X.
Interesting that the code was similar. Comparing Claude Code vs Codex with the same models gives you highly different results.

We benchmarked TanStack Start, React Router, and Next.js running the exact same eCommerce app at 1,000 req/s on AWS EKS. The results were eye-opening.

This graph is quite insane.
TanStack Start is:
• 1.5 to 2 times faster than Next.js
• Next.js actually fails 34% of requests for... nothing

@wesbos Manifold CAD as a litmus test is actually smart -- it's not just 'does it write code,' it's 'does it reason through geometric constraints without me steering it.' What broke first when you pushed past the happy path?
