@Unconkable Thank you! I'm guessing they're pretty locked in to the current control scheme, but I'm still going to hold out hope that they'll provide other options.
My thoughts on 2XKO! open.substack.com/pub/pressbutto…
tl;dr: I still firmly believe in the theoretical potential reach of traditional fighting games, 2XKO is (probably) not the game that’s going to realize it.
@JohnXuandou I think more often than not, this is the advantage of leverless. The other is my dash example, where the leverless player can do something meaningfully different which is literally impossible on lever. I agree that these are more rare (and seem to uniquely plague Street Fighter)
@JohnXuandou I think there are two kinds of advantages leverless can have. One is reaching the same end point more quickly. A leverless player's EWGF is the same as a lever player's EWGF (the leverless player can just do consistent electrics with a lot less practice)
I forgot to include a link to it in original tweet, but I did a (spicy?) blog post to expand on the Justin video a bit: pressbuttonwin.com/justin-wongs-s…
@marvelo_vs@JWonggg@IFCYipeS@Chrismatrix303 Oh yo?! 2014 was legendary, and I really think the full marvel arc from EVO 2011-2017 was amazing. Every year had a great narrative to follow
Debating on which marvel EVO to do next. Leaning toward @JayViscant 's EVO 2011 win (every EVO marvel grand final is a great story though—hard to choose)
I'm pretty confident that @JWonggg 's 2014 EVO run in UMvC3 is up there as one of the greatest of all time. Tangentially related—I truly do miss the @IFCYipeS and @Chrismatrix303 era of commentary
