While our kids are taking the STAAR test this week, remember Greg Abbott keeps trying to force more testing on our kids. Last year Greg Abbott supersized high stakes standardized testing from 15 to 51 tests! I have led the fight against Greg Abbott’s STAAR testing madness in our neighborhood schools, and last year I defeated a covert attempt to make kindergartners take the test. But we will never break free from this testing madness until we fire Greg Abbott and his TEA Commissioner.
