One of the unforgettable moments with my guys. Brilliant boys that have become real men and doing great things. Memories that reminds me of the awesomeness of God in my journey in journalism. Do you remember everyone here?

After I retired, my daughter laughed in my face: “Your pension is barely $1,000. You won’t survive on that.” Her husband added, “Two options, old man. Serve me and stay in this house… or go beg on the street.” They thought that was my only way out. They didn’t know I owned six houses in the city, had $10 million in a trust, and had already prepared a plan to wipe those smiles off their faces……..

Imagine a day when Nigerians will be confronted with choices like this for the Presidential positions: Peter OBI, Former Governor of Anambra and formers investment Banker ———— ADC. Lamido Sanusi Former CBN Governor and Former banker ——— APC. Akinumi Adesina For president Africian Development bank and Minister of Agriculture under Goodluck Jonathan ———- PDP. That day tribe will be forgotten, and religion will take back a seat. It will be a contest of who is more competent. @GodfreyMedia

One uncle of mine, lives in one room, and has two wives. Both wives have two children and they all stay in one room. Two major question I have always wanted asking is, who encouraged the man to get anoyher wife? And how did manage to have sex with them in one room at intervals? Some men are foolish.

Polygamy isn't inherently bad. But a man who wants to marry more than one wife, must be ready to cater to all wives & all children from them. And he must be ready not to keep his wives under one roof. And he must write his will, to avoid chaos. Because when he dies.. End.
LEGACY@LEGACY870

@jon_d_doe "Africa still remains the true foundation of family values". What's your opinion on African traditional marriage practices that allow a man to have more than one wife? What's your assertion on that?

They will say FIFA and European clubs forced CAF’s hands into making AFCON every 4 years. That’s probably true. What’s also true is that AFCON every other year has served its developmental purpose. If hosting it every 4 years will raise its standards, so be it. Something was always going to give. African players not being available for up to 5 weeks every other season has played a huge factor in their market prospects. As the football calendar continues to converge globally, there will be local effects caused by global forces.

There were times in Nigeria when the President would present a budget to the national Assembly and they would seriously debate it. I recall that during Bukola Saraki’s era, the Senate spent four good days debating the 2016 budget at first reading. It was rigorous, thorough, and engaging. The senators at the time were not exceptional nor were they corruption-free. However, they showed a bit of serious effort in the discharge of their legislative duties. Nigerians could see genuine opposition! Now, all we have are a bunch of stomach-infrastructure hustlers, who think and act solely according to the dictates of their groaning stomachs. This explains why Tinubu presented a budget to them yesterday and all they could do was sing “On Your Mandate” and bow to the Emperor. They would spend the next few days padding the so-called budget with fictitious figures. No issues outlining, meticulous study, or exhaustive debate!✍️

Only an immature man comes online saying he will place his mother above his wife. Not because his mother is not important, she is. But because the role your wife plays in your life is not the same as the role your mother played. The love is different. The responsibility is different. The covenant is different. When a man gets married, something should shift. Your mother gave you life, nurtured you, protected you… But your wife is the person you now build a life with. She is the one sharing your home, body, dreams, his fears, burdens, and future. She is the one raising your children and standing beside you through storms your mother may never even hear about. This doesn’t reduce a mother’s value, it just means that you as a man has stepped into a new phase of adulthood. A man who still sees his wife as “second place” is not ready for marriage. He’s emotionally married to his mother and legally married to his wife… and that never ends well. Maturity is knowing how to love both women without making them competitors. A good son honours his mother, but he understands she is no longer the centre of his household. A good husband protects his wife, emotionally and mentally, because her safety in that marriage depends on it. And a good woman will naturally respect your mother, as long as she doesn’t feel like she’s fighting for a position she already rightfully holds. No woman wants to rival her mother-in-law. Most just want to be treated as the partner they truly are.
Àgbà John Doe@jon_d_doe

Maturity is when a grown man is able to separate the love that he has for his mother, from the love that he has for his wife. Your mother is your father's wife. You don't sleep with your mother. And your mother cannot give birth to your children. If your father placed his mother above your mother, your mother would not have remained your father's wife. And by the way.. Your father's wife is not the same as your mother. Your real mother is your father's wife. End.

This is a reach but the timing of Ekong’s decision is very questionable. Especially because he's done it after his name was on the preliminary list to the AFCON and we all know he’s not going to be dropped under normal circumstances. The question I'm asking myself is: If he was going to retire before the AFCON and was sure he would, did he inform the coach? If he informed Eric Chelle and the NFF technical committee, why was he included in the preliminary list? If he didn't, what was his end game? Why has the decision to retire come after the preliminary list and not before it? Did his club say they are not going to release him for the tournament and he decided to save face and quit earlier than the AFCON? Was he informed he wasn't going to be at the AFCON for any reason and decided to seize control of the narrative? The timing of the decision leaves questions. I may be wrong, but I'm very curious.
