Visited 4-5 top hospitals in Delhi while selecting one for delivery. Almost all quoted 1.8L - 2L for normal delivery with 1N/2D stay and C-section with 2N/3D stay. The moment we mentioned our corporate health insurance (Oriental Insurance), the package magically dropped to 75k - 90k. Reason? Many insurers fall under GIPSA pricing agreements, where hospitals agree to capped/package rates for insured patients. So essentially same room, same doctors, same treatment, same hospital but paying out of pocket it costs 2L and if paid via insurance its 90k. Indian healthcare pricing is far more confusing and opaque than most people realize.

Yesterday I visited a hospital as we’re planning Mom’s knee replacement surgery. As part of the pre-op process, we were asked to do a series of blood tests. The hospital quoted ₹14K for the tests. Ahmedabad’s top laboratory charged ₹6K for the exact same reports. In either case i will get reimbursed from insurance. What surprised me wasn’t just the difference in pricing. This surgery is already sold as a fixed 3N-4D package approved by the TPA. Everything from the room to bandages is bundled in, yet there’s almost no transparency on what costs what. You only see the final invoice. And because ours is a cashless claim, it becomes even harder to understand what we are actually paying for, what part is genuinely expensive, and how much pricing changes simply because insurance exists. The hospital’s argument is that insurance companies delay payments by 4-6 months, so hospitals build those costs into the system and cashless becomes a hidden convenience fee for patients. On the other side, insurance companies happily sell you a policy on day one, then spend years questioning every claim. Is medical insurance solving healthcare inflation, or quietly driving it?

Windows 11 finally has a battery percentage number along with the battery icon in the status bar. Now only if it can start showing battery health directly in the ux instead of using "powercfg /batteryreport" cmd command

You start coding, you see results, the app functions, you start adding features and making it useful. Then out of nowhere AI starts hallucinating, adding garbage code and before you know the app is now beyond recovery. You need to delete it and start from scratch.
Daniel Lockyer@DanielLockyer

Sometimes I wish coding AI agents would just tell me it can't do XYZ, and that I should rethink the requirements or goals I want it to achieve instead of going down some huge rabbit holes to achieve some broken solution, only for me to delete it all again

Everyone from solo entrepreneurs to large corporations uses Shopify, but honestly, it doesn’t feel cheap once you scale even slightly. The CDN, uptime, automatic updates, and maintenance are great but the real cost starts with apps. Adding even a small feature often means another $10/month subscription. By the time you install 3 - 4 basic apps, the monthly app cost alone can nearly equal the yearly cost of the basic Shopify plan.

Visited DLF Midtown Plaza in Moti Nagar. It’s built different - feels more like a modern market than a traditional mall. The biggest issue is outlet discovery. Everything faces outward, unlike regular malls where shops face inward around a central space, so you naturally explore while walking. Here, it’s easy to miss stores entirely. Food options are nice though, and the whole vibe feels fresh compared to typical enclosed malls. Since it’s an open-air mall, only the shops are air-conditioned - which means weather will play a huge role in how enjoyable the experience is. #delhi #motinagar #dlfmidtownplaza

Google is becoming the “reset AI” company. Every week, they reset token usage caps. It’s wild that a company owning massive GPU + TPU infrastructure still can’t match the token allowances from companies like OpenAI and Anthropic - companies that largely rent compute. What’s worse, Google already has the data on actual user consumption patterns. They know what normal daily usage looks like, yet the limits are set at barely 1/4 of that. At this point, it feels less like infrastructure constraints and more like a money grab.

We heard concerns that Antigravity consumes many tokens for simple tasks now. So, we're adding Gemini 3.5 Flash (Low) as a way to optimize token usage for these tasks. In our internal testing, it generates around 45% fewer tokens than Gemini 3.5 Flash (Medium) and generally outperforms Gemini 3 Flash (High) on SWE tasks. We've also gone ahead and reset Gemini quota across all paid plans to make sure you have all the tokens needed to build for the next week 🙂

This seems fishy as we dont have the required dataset to train from but if true then finally AI is being used for something genuinely important. Humans share this planet with hundreds and thousands of other animals, insects etc yet we dont even understand them 1%.

@Zyeine_Art The phrase "shit is still shit even if some is 100xing" is on point. You make people pay the same subscription fee and yet reduce the rate limits. The least they could have done is grandfathered existing users into old tiers and put new users into this 3x 100x crap.

Google backpedalling hard on the usage limits. Looks like there's a new phrase in the world of AI and I bet it's going to be super popular from the big companies because it's essentially bullshit. > We're "3xing" the rate limits. > We're "10xing" the rate limits. > We're "20xing" the rate limits. But guess what? We reduced the initial limit and didn't tell you, so everything sounds generous and like an improvement it's actually not and shit is still shit even if someone is "100xing" the amount of glitter on it. The language used in advertising and by corporations is a really fun thing to look at sometimes. What it says can be VERY different to what it actually means. #Google #Gemini #GoogleGemini #Anthropic #OpenAI #AI #LLM #Keep4o #KeepSonnet45 #xAI #Dishonest #ShadyBusinessTactics #LimitXING

An update: we’re 3xing the rate limits for Gemini models across all paid tiers in Antigravity and resetting everyone’s Gemini quota for the week. We understand some people hit their rate limits quickly and wanted to respond fast. Lots more to come and enjoy building!

If the last 2.5 years were spent putting the infrastructure together to REDUCE limits by 5x and INCREASE prices by 3x, then I suggest you stop spending time on anything. @GeminiApp @Google #gemini

Gemini 3.5 feels like the start of a new era for Gemini, we spent the last 2.5 years putting the infrastructure, products, team, etc in place (learning lots of lessons along the way). The model is the product, please keep the feedback coming!

A very famous grocery store in our area just shut down after nearly 10 years of operations because of quick commerce. They started with one store, expanded to 3-4 outlets, and still went bust. Quick commerce has definitely made life more convenient, but it’s also quietly taking away a lot of local businesses and jobs.
