Mahama at the UN: "The transatlantic slave trade was the gravest crime against humanity."
Huh?
Pre-colonial Ghana alone had 63 slave markets. And slavery in Ghana continues until today. I've seen it myself.
Africans captured, enslaved and exploited other Africans for over a thousand years, in huge numbers.
In Ghana the perpetrators were especially the Ashanti, Fante and Ga-Adangbe.
The immensely rich Ashanti-king (picture) never apologised nor paid reparations. And there were annual human sacrifices in their capital Kumasi.
