Christopher Nolan revealed the secret behind his movies. "I always try to have a point of view on the story that's from inside the film. Because I want to give the audience a sense of what a place would smell like, what it would feel like." "When I'm writing, I'm visualizing the film as an audience member, as somebody experiencing the story." "Then when I direct the story, I'm trying to take the audience." "In the case of The Odyssey, I'm trying to put the audience into that horse. I'm trying to put them on the deck of his ship." "To have a feeling of having connected with these characters, having lived in the world with these characters."

Tom Holland thought Christopher Nolan hated his acting on their first day of filming together. Tom Holland: I remember you would continue cutting, and I was with Jon like, why does he keep cutting? Why does he keep doing that? In my head, I’m like, does he not like what we’re doing? Like, what is happening? Tom Holland: It was actually George Cottle that was like, no, there’s only three minutes in the mag. I was like, oh thank god.

Jon Hamm says when his agent called about Top Gun: Maverick, his answer was immediate, yes, before he even heard the details. The backstory made it even better. Tom Cruise had already revealed himself as an intense, deeply knowledgeable fan of Mad Men years earlier when they first met. So when Cruise came calling for a role in the sequel, Hamm already knew exactly what kind of filmmaker and collaborator he’d be walking into “to say five words to him, and and uh he, he had seen Mad Men because he kind of was like, "I love, you know," in the very Tom Cruise way, like very direct and intense and, "I love that show. I love that, you're, I love that show." "Thanks, man! Holy cow, like..." That was, that was a good day. That was a really good day. Um, so then, so then, you know, cut to however many years later, God, ten years later? Um, I'm driving down the road and my, my phone rings and I, "Yeah, hello?" It's my agent. "Hey, they, you know, they're coming at you for uh, they want you to do a part in, in the, the Top Gun sequel." And I was like, "Well, then the answer is yes." Howard Stern: Are you crazy? Like, no brainer. Jon Hamm: Yes, I want, yes, I want to. "Well, we don't know the money and this..."

@_Jeffery0 I don't buy the excuse that streaming is the only reason though, like if Hollywood made genuinely good, creative original movies instead of safe boring slop, people would pay $15 to go see them in theaters

Ben Affleck reveals why Hollywood barely makes original movies anymore. Interviewer: If you wanted to make a movie that was definitely going to theaters, what kind of budget are we talking about? Ben Affleck: Even without paying a huge star, people will tell you it's very difficult to make a movie for less than $25 million. “And that number goes up fast once you add big action scenes, stunts, or visual effects.” “The problem is, if you spend $25 million making the movie, you'll probably spend another $25 million marketing it.” “Now you're $50 million into the movie. Theaters only give you back about 50% of the box office.” “So if your movie makes $100 million, you only get back around $50 million.” “That's why it's become so hard to make theatrical movies.” “People just say, "It looks good... I'll watch it when it comes to streaming." “That's why you mostly see Avengers, Avatar, and other big franchises.” “Even a movie from Ryan Coogler and Michael B. Jordan is considered a risk... because it's not a sequel.” “If it becomes a hit, then sure... they'll make Sinners 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6. “ “But getting an original movie made is incredibly difficult.”

Robert Downey Jr. reveals that everyone on avengers cast got an Avenger Tattoo except Mark Ruffalo because he was scared. “Scarlett got it first, then Chris Evans, me, Jeremy Renner, and Chris Hemsworth but Mark Ruffalo said, ‘I’m not getting that tattoo. I don’t want to be part of your Hollywood inside game.’”

Piers Morgan challenged Nick Fuentes to defend his own words. Piers Morgan: I want to come to something else you said. Would you like to clarify what you meant? Nick Fuentes: Everything I said in that clip is true. Piers Morgan: You made a broad statement about Black Americans. What exactly did you mean by that? Nick Fuentes: I was referring to people who commit murder. Piers Morgan: But you didn’t say that. You made a much broader statement. You didn’t make that distinction. Nick Fuentes: You’re right. That’s a fair point. Piers Morgan: What percentage are you talking about? Nick Fuentes: One in 20. Piers Morgan: The most up-to-date U.S. crime statistics say it’s less than one in 100. Nick Fuentes: I’ve seen different figures. I’d have to go back and check them. Piers Morgan: So your number is far higher than the official statistics. Nick Fuentes: I’d need to verify it, but I believe the data I saw supports it. Piers Morgan: People can judge the evidence for themselves.

Caller: “My in laws are demanding back their money they spent during my wedding, should i pay it back?” Caller: My in laws paid for our wedding but had a fine print clause, anything spent over a set budget had to be paid back. My wife knew about it, but I was never involved in the planning and only found out after we were married. The bill is $4,000. Dave: Did your wife know about this agreement going in? Caller: Yes, she did. Dave: Then pay the $4,000. Write the check this week and put it behind you. Caller: But I never agreed to it, it doesn’t feel fair. Dave: Fair or not, your wife entered into the agreement and you’re a team now. Debating the fairness of it costs more energy than it’s worth, and letting a $4,000 debt linger with your in-laws will poison the relationship far longer than just paying it will. Caller: Okay. What about going forward? Dave: Two things. First, no financial agreement ever gets made again without both of you fully aware and in agreement. What your wife signs, you sign. You’re one unit. Second, no more money deals with family. Pay the $4,000, close this chapter, and keep your finances separate from your in laws going forward.

Caleb Hammer loses it after discovering a guest split a $40 DoorDash Chick-fil-A order into four payments Caleb: “You've affirmed DoorDash Chick-fil-A. We knew it would fucking happen in the show. What the fuck. Are you kidding me” Guest: “It was like $40. Why the fuck would I pay $40 in one payment? I could split it into four” Caleb: “Why would you pay $40 when you make no money?” Guest: “I do. I do” Caleb: “Because you live with your parents. That's why it's able to stretch a little further. But if you're living with your parents, at least pay for it in full. Or, better yet, pay off your $45,000 of debt so you can move on with your life, so you can move to another city” “We can't Affirm DoorDashing Chick-fil-A. I knew this would fucking happen, and of course you're going to be paying interest on it. Guys, come on. We can't be doing this as a society”

Former OpenAI researcher Daniel Kokotajlo walked away from $2 million rather than sign an agreement that would stop him from criticizing the company. Steven Bartlett: “You lost $2 million for not signing an anti-disparagement clause, which meant you couldn't speak or criticize the company?” Daniel Kokotajlo: “Oh yes. Well… I got to keep the money.” Steven Bartlett: “You got to keep the money?” Daniel: “What happened was after I left, I got the exit paperwork, and it included a clause saying you basically have to agree not to criticize the company again. There was also a clause saying you can't tell anyone about this. And I thought that was kind of rich coming from a nonprofit that's supposed to be for the benefit of humanity.” Steven: “So if you didn't sign, you would've lost your equity?” Daniel: “That's right. And my wife and I were upset about this. We talked about it for a month or two, consulted people, and ultimately decided to just refuse to sign.” Steven: “Which meant you would have lost $2 million?” Daniel: “That's right. Which was about 80% of our net worth at the time.” Steven: "What happened next?" Daniel: "It blew up on the internet. Employees started questioning leadership. They backtracked and said, 'Never mind.. you can keep the equity.'" Steven: "Sam Altman came out and said he was embarrassed and had no idea this was happening." Daniel: "He did." Steven: "You don't believe him?" Daniel: "No. I think he probably knew. And if he didn't know, then people close to him probably did.. such as his head lawyer."

When Tom Holland met Tom Holland to talk “The Odyssey”… Tom Holland says Odysseus wasn’t the only one fighting for 20 years. Tom Holland (Interviewer): Watching Anne Hathaway’s performance, you completely believe she’s someone worth crossing the seven seas to get back to. Tom Holland (Actor): It’s a testament to Chris as a writer, but also to Anne as an actor. She portrayed a version of Penelope we’ve never really seen before. Tom Holland (Actor): People always describe her as the perfect example of modesty and patience… these slightly passive qualities. Tom Holland (Interviewer): Slightly passive qualities. Tom Holland (Actor): But really, she’s only showing that side because if she doesn’t, she’ll lose the war and the suitors will take over. Tom Holland (Actor): She’s protecting her son, protecting Ithaca, and holding on to the hope that Odysseus comes home. Tom Holland (Actor): One thing Anne developed with our costume designer is that she’s always dressed as if today could be the day he returns. Tom Holland (Interviewer): It’s also conveying her power as a queen. Tom Holland (Actor): Exactly. The resilience Odysseus shows trying to make it home is the same resilience Penelope shows by staying there, protecting everything until he gets back. Tom Holland (Actor): The way we’ve described it is… it’s like living through a 20-year home invasion.
