Zoomer hair is a remedial effort to compensate and obscure the skull with no exposure to prenatal androgens & a failed puberty. Often the “one simple trick” is not enough, as the dento-alveolar hypoplasia renders the lower third smaller than the mid-face. The gracile zoomer therefore compensates with an additional deception: opening the mouth & jutting, which increases the ‘perception’ of their lower anterior facial height. Note in the examples presented below the mouth gape.
