Termo raramente usado nas Índias Orientais Espanholas, mas seu uso era prevalente em Cavite. Não deve ser confundido com “torna atrás” na América Hispânica.

The Elizalde Family Historically one of the wealthiest industrial families in the Philippines (founders of ELIZALDE & Co., which dealt in shipping, sugar, and broadcasting), the Elizaldes trace their ancestry back to New Spain criollos and high-ranking officials who arrived during the late Galleon era. They maintained heavily Euro-Mestizo social circles for generations.
