If the melting point was the only thing to worry about, there would be no fireproofing on steel structural members. HTH

I don't need to try again, the temperature of concern is well below the melting point AND well below the combustion temperature of the fuel. Also worth mentioning: after a few hours at 850F, A36 deforms under load and WILL fail.
