VIDEO | On the controversy around Jaipur Polo Ground, BJP MP Naveen Jindal says, "See, the Indian Polo Association received an eviction notice. However, I’ve been informed that they have received relief from the Delhi High Court, which has directed that due legal process be followed. We have also written to the government and remain hopeful. As I’ve said before, polo is India’s gift to the world. The Indian Polo Association has only one dedicated polo ground in the country, the Jaipur Polo Ground in Delhi. It is called Jaipur Polo Ground because the Maharaja of Jaipur gifted it to the government before the Second World War, with the intention that polo would be played here. For over 125 years, the sport has been played on this ground, making it an integral part of Delhi’s heritage and culture. This ground holds immense emotional value for players. We have given our blood and sweat here, personally, I have been injured multiple times, and many players have faced similar experiences. This is the only ground we have, and it is extremely important that it is preserved. If we improve facilities like seating and parking, this venue has the potential to attract large crowds. Polo can also become a strong element of India’s soft power, drawing international players and audiences to the country.” (Full video available on PTI Videos - ptivideos.com)

VIDEO | Delhi: Jindal Panther claimed a hard-fought 10–9 victory over Jaipur Achievers in an intense extra-time contest at the Northern India Polo Championship, held at the Jaipur Polo Grounds on Thursday. Speaking after the match, Naveen Jindal said, "We will try our best. I was lucky to score two good goals today, but Sunday is a new day. For me, the most important thing is that everyone comes out without injuries, both players and horses. Winning is not everything in polo; it’s about giving your best and enjoying the game with friends.Polo is not a mass sport like cricket, but it is growing in popularity. People who watch it really enjoy the intensity and skill involved. We need better infrastructure, more grounds and training facilities, to take the sport forward, along with greater support from the government. Polo was last played in the Olympics in 1936. With India aiming to host the 2036 Olympics, the Indian Polo Association will make efforts to bring the sport back to the Olympic stage." (Full video available on PTI Videos - ptivideos.com)

VIDEO | India pacer Mukesh Kumar has said he is prioritising “purposeful practice” and match-day execution over long-term goals as he looks to make a strong impact for Delhi Capitals. "When I was dealing with my injury, I shifted my focus toward myself and began 'practicing purposefully.' I am very disciplined about that now. While things like the World Test Championship (WTC), the World Cup, or the Olympics are significant, I try not to overthink them. My mental preparation is about the 'now.' What do I need to do in today's match? What specific variations should I bring to my practice session? Which batsmen am I targeting? I keep a vision in the back of my mind about returning to the Indian side, but my daily focus is on the immediate task" he said. #DelhiCapitals #IPL #MukeshKumar

VIDEO | Back with Delhi Capitals after being bought for Rs 75 lakh in the auction after missing last season, cricketer Prithvi Shaw is treating this IPL as a reset in his career. "It’s always a new start. There are a lot of memories, but since it's history now, it can't be repeated. It's a fresh start, a fresh team and a few new players. I was not there last year and I'm joining again this year. There are a lot of new things. I'll start fresh and I did all the practice to have a good start this year. I’ve collected many good memories, and I think everything is going well. I’ve never considered myself weak. I’ve always believed in myself, and my family has been a huge support.I feel that when you find a good partner, it’s the right time.We both worked hard to build this relationship; it wasn't easy for us. We both understood where we belong—I’m a cricketer and she’s an actress—and you have to make certain sacrifices. You have to keep that in mind. Sometimes I feel like I’m winning the U-19 World Cup right now, even though it’s been more than eight years” he said. #IPL #DelhiCapitals #PrithviShaw

VIDEO | On the comeback to the Indian Team, cricketer Prithvi Shaw says, "There’s no doubt that I have to come back to the Indian team. That’s exactly why I’m playing and why I’m working so hard. The amount of effort I used to put in, I put in three times more today. I don’t usually like to talk about it, but I feel I’m giving not just 100%, but 200% to make that comeback. Whether it’s winning a trophy, a match day, or even a practice day—I try to give 200%. If I’m not feeling good, I won't practice. You don’t get anything by practising at 50%. If you’re on the ground, you give your 100%, or you don’t come to the ground at all. Whatever ups and downs happened, I faced them with respect and a smile. As you grow up, you realise your own mistakes. You don’t need seniors or mentors to tell you what you already know. It’s better if you understand those things yourself beforehand and then move forward." #Delhicapitals #ipl #prithvishaw (Full video available on PTI Videos - ptivideos.com)

VIDEO | Delhi: Omaxe has launched India’s first dedicated Pink Stand named after Harmanpreet Kaur at its 30,000-seat cricket stadium in Dwarka. On the stand being named in her honour, team India skipper Harmanpreet Kaur said, "It’s a very emotional feeling. I had never even dreamed of something like this. But with all the hard work and dedication, I am receiving something that will stay with me forever. I am very happy and very grateful, and I really want to thank Omaxe for giving me this honour in my name. When we started this partnership, I never thought they would go beyond that. I truly appreciate that they are recognising me in this way, and today, having a stand in the stadium dedicated in my name is very special." (Full video available on PTI Videos - ptivideos.com)

VIDEO | On the sidelines of the naming ceremony of a stand in her honour at Omaxe Stadium in Dwarka, Team India skipper Harmanpreet Kaur reviewed the Australia multi-format series, and stressed the need for more such series in the Future Tours Programme. "I was very emotional. I think it’s a great achievement for me. As a cricketer, I only dreamed of playing for the country and winning titles, but I never imagined having a stand named after me in a stadium. I think it’s a great initiative taken by Omaxe, and I hope in the future we see more such recognitions.I think such a multi-format series should happen because it gives you a lot of challenges. After every week, you have to play a different format, so I think this is a totally different experience. As cricketers, we have never gone through such an experience. Earlier, we mostly played either T20s or ODIs, but playing all three formats together was a bit challenging. That said, I think we have taken a lot of learnings from it, and hopefully, if we get a chance in the future, we will try to give our best. Look, I believe that in any field, you have to do something special, you have to win a title. Only then do you get recognition. Otherwise, it feels like all the hard work goes to waste. It’s not that we have worked hard only this year; we have been working hard for many years. Not just our team, but all the women cricketers before us have put in immense effort, often even spending from their own pockets. So, winning a title was very important. And after achieving that, the response we are getting from Indian fans, the media, and everyone else is a very big thing for us." she said. (Full video available on PTI Videos - ptivideos.com)

VIDEO | On the stand being named in her honour at The Omaxe State, Dwarka, team India skipper Harmanpreet Kaur says, "It was a very emotional moment for me. When your name is associated with a stadium, for any sportsperson, it is a very big achievement. For me, it is truly special. I would like to thank Omaxe for giving me this honour, and I hope our partnership continues like this, bringing more excitement to the country. One more thing I would like to add, the best part about this stadium is that it is not just dedicated to cricket, but is a multi-sport facility. That is very important. As a sportsperson, I want other sports to grow in our country the way cricket has. If football and other sports grow, it will be very good for the country and for other athletes. I would also like to give them credit for thinking beyond cricket and focusing on inclusivity. For people on wheelchairs, it can be very difficult to watch matches, but here they will have a dedicated space. I think that is a great initiative." VIDEO | Delhi: On the upcoming South Africa Tour and T20 World Cup, Asian Games and targeting Olympics, team India skipper Harmanpreet Kaur says, "Well, it’s good to see that a lot of cricket is coming up, and as a cricketer, there’s a lot of exciting cricket ahead. The most important thing is that we stay fit and available for these opportunities, because that is crucial. At the same time, given how we performed in the last World Cup, we need to carry the same mindset into the next T20 World Cup. I think it’s all about playing our best cricket."
