The President of Turkey, Erdogan, originates from the Greek village of Potamia (Potamya) in Rizounta (Rize), Pontus. He comes from Greek Romioi (Byzantine Greek) parents who converted to Islam in the 20th century. They had held out until then and remained Christians, but they changed their faith only about 100 years ago when Muslims were expelling/genocide all the Christians from Anatolia. In other words, his ancestors were Christian Greeks who converted to Muslim Turks to save themselves. This President of Turkey probably knows everything. I challenge President Erdogan to publish his whole genealogy and history of his family from his village in Pontus.
