UK sleuths, what's the inside story with Myriam? Last I knew she was hijabi. Next thing you know, the hijab is off.
Unless she had bad hair and the hijab was just cover, and now the copper peptides have finally kicked in, I find these sudden hijab removals deeply suspicious.
You're either saying "I don't believe it's obligatory" — in which case you're no longer Muslim. Or you're saying "I can't handle the scrutiny" — which makes you weak and pathetic. Either way, why are you still positioning yourself as a Muslim public figure?
You don't get to be hijabi one day and hijabless the next with no explanation. People have every right to distance themselves from someone that wishy-washy. Add to that the fact that she had access to many mainstream publications/media.
Anti-Israel activism should not become laundry washing for Muslim public figures.

It’s a shame that more Muslims don’t view Turkey’s leader Erdogan with disdain.
Erdogan armed and funded barbaric apostate warlords across the Muslim world, including in Mali and Afghanistan. They also heavily armed Ethiopia.
Erdogan is the one who tried to prevent the Taliban from taking over Afghanistan, and then when the Taliban won the war, he changed his tune and started talking about “Islamic brotherhood” like the 2-faced snake that he is.
Erdogan puts on an Islamic cloak, while being an open enemy of the Muslims.

Turkey is giving serious amounts of money, weapons, and training to the Mali junta, directly supporting the savage massacre of innocent civilians. In Afghanistan, Turkey played the exact same dirty game: It backed Rashid Dostum and the other murderous American gangs, enabling every kind of vile atrocity until the Taliban took control. Let the proxies do all the dirty work and take the blame, while Ankara stays completely clean in the background. In Mali too, the junta will lose just like in Afghanistan, and Turkey will continue playing the “protector of Muslims” role like nothing ever happened.

A group of Imams have issued a collective statement condemning the recent attack in Golders Green, London, on April 29.
It reads: “We note with grave concern the violent attack on two Jewish men in Golders Green, London. We extend our thoughts and solidarity to those injured, their families and the wider Jewish community.
“Any act of violence or intimidation directed at individuals because of their faith or identity is utterly unacceptable. Incidents which create fear within communities, particularly near places of worship or religious gathering, undermine the safety and cohesion of our shared society.”

@5Pillarsuk She’s not wrong tbf. Sectarian voting is a thing in the Muslim communities, where many do not think for themselves before voting. Or on the off chance one does think for himself, he’s ousted and called out for ‘betrayal’. One’s political allegiance should be to Britain, not Islam
