Freelancing feels slow in the beginning.
• You’ll work 3 hours on a mail.
•You’ll undercharge and regret it.
• You’ll send 20 emails and get no replies.
But if you keep learning & adjusting,
you’ll wake up one day…and you’ll be making thousands.
Trust the process and show up daily no matter what.

@Mikevideoeditor 99% sure that they were hating on you because they didn't have the balls to start their own channel haha

My "friends" made a group chat to bully my youtube channel.
Few years ago when I was still at the university, I got curious about making videos and made my first ever youtube video.
I wanted to make a channel about social skills, the videos were just simple talking heads recorded with my phone.
I wasn't getting lots of views, and I was kinda anxious about it, I didn't want anyone to find out because I was afraid people will make fun of me.
One day one of my videos suddenly got 500 views in just an hour
I was so excited, until I saw the comments
Within 5 minutes 20+ comments appeared, each having 20+ likes instantly, each negative and insulting me
"you don't know shit, don't watch this guy, he's such a loser"
"I can't believe anyone would listen to this guy"
"I wanna throw up after listening to this"
I recognized the nicknames of the commenters, majority of them were people I had classes with
Literally the worst thing that I imagined would happen after creating a youtube channel, happened in front of my eyes
I felt really bad and was even considering deleting all my videos and give up making videos for good
After that the vibe at the university was kinda awkward, but I realized no one had ever said anything to me face to face about it
Everyone kinda acted like nothing ever happened
They were only strong behind a computer in a comment section
It kinda sucked at the time that it happened, but also it was kinda freeing experience
After all, everybody found out about my channel, the worst thing I was fearing has already happened, so there is nothing stopping me now right?
Long story short, I quit university soon after, and relatively quickly I started making a living making videos.
Today I'm starting to build my own team and they?
Tbh no idea, probably recently finished university and are looking for their first job
Moral of the story - sometimes shit happens.
And eventually it will happen
So if you're afraid that something bad will happen and that keeps you from acting...
just assume it will happen anyway eventually, prepare for it and act anyway

@Hadadbiz Exactly you're not just a video editor you're a problem solver using video editing to get results !

Most freelancers stay broke even though they’re talented.
You can be the best at:
- Transitions
- Motion design
- Color grading
But none of it matters if you don’t know how to get clients.
Nobody’s paying you for fancy edits.
They’re paying you to solve a problem.
The moment you understand this,
everything changes.
You stop overthinking reels.
You stop working for $80/video.
You start asking:
“What does this client actually want?”
That’s how you go from broke editor
to $1,500/video freelancing masters.
It’s not about better edits.
It’s about better positioning.
