A fun way to add some flavor to worldbuilding with superheroes is to make a faction of normals who have anti-superhero technology, and (pivotally) the very morally sound idea that no being can be trusted with such power

It’s just her writing quirk that sometimes she’ll just tell a little stand-alone story about an entirely new character that has no relevance to anything nor does it matter to the ongoing narrative.
