In the Netflix series Harry & Meghan, one of the most criticized moments came when Meghan recounted her first meeting with Queen Elizabeth II and reenacted the curtsy she performed. She claimed she thought Harry was joking, then reenacted an exaggerated, seated version while calling it “Medieval Times,” complete with a smiling “pleasure to meet you, Your Majesty.” Harry sat beside her with a completely dumbfounded, unsmiling face, no laughter or amusement, showing just how disrespectful it was, even to him. But yet he did nothing. He allowed her, as he often does, to take over & manipulate the moment as she sees fit to control her narrative. This moment will (rightly) haunt them forever, for the lack of respect to a sitting Monarch.
