Why bother? No differentiated/proprietary products, no services that require physical presence, no useful e-commerce strategy, doesn’t serve rural/low-income communities. Am gonna miss those 20% coupons though.

In any other context, a newly-private company rapidly shedding cost and barriers to success (e.g. employees not in the canoe) would go unnoticed by the masses. We’re just uncomfortable saying out loud that this is often the playbook for these situations.
