I visited Dartmoor Prison today
During the Napoleonic Wars, Britain captured thousands of French soldiers and sailors after major victories at sea and on land.
At first they were crammed onto rotting old warships turned into floating prisons called “hulks” —disease-ridden hellholes anchored in Plymouth harbour.
As British success piled up more prisoners, the hulks overflowed. So in 1809 the government rushed to build a massive new prison deep on the wild, foggy Dartmoor moors. So remote that it would be almost impossible to escape from.
The image below shows long lines of weary French POWs, guarded by British soldiers, trudging across the desolate moor on 24 May 1809. That first group of 2,500 had marched all the way from the hulks. Soon thousands more arrived, with over 20,000 passing through in total.
Life inside was harsh, with cold granite walls, bad food, outbreaks of disease.
After Napoleon’s final defeat at Waterloo in 1815, a fresh wave of French prisoners flooded in. But with peace, most were finally sent home by early 1816.

They are manipulating people like you to do their work for them but they will never give you anything.

Restore are under very little pressure at the moment. The media is largely ignoring them so they have breathing room.
Which is why unforced errors are frustrating to watch.
@RupertLowe10 could assuage the concerns of most people by saying he’s going to end the influence of foreign lobbies on British politics, come out against the Iran War in principle and not just because the military is weak, talking more about demographic security, and outline in greater detail what his economics are.
If he did that and the party tightened up their comms and got a real policy/research unit in place so the party would be better briefed and clear lines filtered down the ranks most of the criticism would stop.
The obvious questions now become why they aren’t implementing these quick fixes and what are they going to be like when the full force of the British media comes crashing down on them?

@SirJBritain @Landeur I didn’t say he was English. I don’t like seeing him slam Rupert Lowe either. But he’s exposed anti-English propaganda to millions of English youths indoctrinated by it, and that has a knock on effect that is commendable.

Lot of people hating on Jayden because he’s brown or Reform. The difference is that he’s actually been doing good work at exposing anti British history, long before joining Reform. He’s not another Reform token.
Anyone waking up the young from liberal lies deserves some credit.

Residents are paying more, getting less, and being represented by politicians who are comfortable with decline and allergic to accountability. Reform UK is the only party willing to challenge the failed consensus, put local people first, and say what others are too scared to say. However, I don't believe he would take money to do so.
