GM space fans, some personal news: we're in space! 🚀🛰️ Our first mission, Rock & Lopen, successfully launched and deployed into orbit on Friday afternoon. We’ve made contact, marking a milestone in our journey towards the world’s first 3D-imaging satellite constellation. Rock & Lopen represent a major step forward in our derisking schedule, as well as a testament to our speed – we went from concept sketches to space-qualified hardware in 6 months (and from 0 to LEO in <9 months). S/O @SpaceX for the smooth trip to orbit. We need to stop playing this deployment clip on loop and get back in the saddle – there’s more work to be done Huge shout out to the team. Stay tuned for what comes next!

Congrats to @ArrayLabs on their $20M Series A! They're making radar satellites that can be mass-manufactured at commercial price points, delivering 100x the power at ~1% of the cost. They've already hit eight figures in contracted revenue, won awards across the Air Force, Space Force, Navy, Army, SOCOM, and DARPA — and are preparing to launch the world's first formation-flying radar cluster. arraylabs.io/updates/1

Gm from the land of GDPR 🇬🇧 In London this week to brief a geological society on @ArrayLabs and our work across the mining value chain Will be here for a few days. If you are not actively praying on my downfall and would like to discuss space radar, metals, world models, or anything in between, please reach out. Cheerio!

Good morning! We're proud to share that we've been working with the U.S. Navy to study and advance space-based AMTI concepts. The Office of Naval Research (@USNavyResearch) recently selected Array Labs to evaluate how distributed radar systems can support wide-area AMTI missions. AMTI, short for Airborne Moving Target Indication, refers to the detection & tracking of moving airborne objects, such as aircraft or drones. Low-cost, pervasive space-based AMTI is a top S&T priority for ONR: moving this capability to orbit will provide global, resilient coverage, while reducing reliance on manned radar aircraft. This partnership comes as a critical time, as AMTI is a growing area of emphasis within wider U.S. strategic planning efforts. Congress has supported this direction with dedicated funding for exploratory work and capability development through the end of the decade. We are honored to be working alongside ONR on this most important mission. Onwards!!!

Space doesn't hand out do-overs. If you want a constellation that performs under pressure and scales with your ambition, you have to engineer for chaos from day one. At Array, this starts in simulation: pulling apart every assumption, parameter, and tradeoff, to get imaging performance, system robustness, and data delivery right in the real world. Today, we're announcing a contract with @DARPA to advance this work even further: rigorously modeling and validating the real-world dynamics of our distributed radar system. This work will refine how we configure and scale our constellation, and shape how our clusters collect, communicate, and adapt over time. More soon. Onward!

Maxar has partnered with @ArrayLabs to accelerate our 3D operational terrain capabilities—unlocking faster, more frequent updates to our global 3D datasets. With dedicated access to Array’s upcoming radar imaging constellation (launching 2026), we’re building toward a real-time, living globe. This collaboration strengthens mission-critical tools like Raptor, which uses Maxar 3D terrain to guide autonomous systems through GPS-denied environments. 🔗: maxar.com/press-releases…

Extracting More Signal: a fresh $1.25M award and a 3D algorithm turning noise into knowledge… Today, we are excited to anounce a new $1.25M Air Force contract to advance how we process 3D imagery from satellite sensors. Our customers have been crystal clear with us: they need 3D faster and more accurately to make critical decisions. But... current 3D from space approaches require complex, choreographed multi-pass collects that take time to coordinate (while also monopolizing capacity). What we're cooking: A new algorithm that finds 3D depth information hidden in standard radar imagery. By extracting signals typically treated as noise, we can cut the required satellite passes from a dozen+ down to just a few (sometimes, even a single pass!) The implications: This advances our on-demand 3D imaging product today while also serving as a critical technology demonstrator for our near-future Site3D + World3D architectures. When our satellite clusters launch, they'll capture true single-pass 3D — but our aim is to deliver enhanced capability now with existing space assets. We are grateful to our partners, @AFWERX + @AFResearchLab, for trusting us to get the job done.
