@michaelschwab13 It is the same US team as always. The moment they come against any kind of quality, they will fold. And due to the new format, that probably won't occur until the knockout rounds.

Hey people who know soccer, should we be excited about the US win against Paraguay? I can’t say are we back because the USNMT never have had it. Is this a good team?

This is an utterly insane story: 25,000 documents reviewed by WaPo indicate that throughout Tulsi's career, her political moves were controlled by her guru, cult leader Chris Butler. This woman was leading the world's largest intelligence apparatus. washingtonpost.com/investigations…

@annettedittert Additionally, the Russian-aligned Corbyn refused to stand as opposition to Brexit, so Putin got what he wanted from both ends of the political spectrum. Corbyn will go down as one of the most feckless opposition leaders in British history.

The Russian and Trump aligned far right wanted Brexit because it weakened UK and its liberal democracy. They also now want Starmer gone, for the same reasons. And the British rightwing press is helping them. Just a few years ago this wd have been regarded as treason. Now?
The Telegraph@Telegraph

Donald Trump and Sir Keir Starmer have clashed repeatedly over immigration and energy in the past 18 months, with the US president calling on the Prime Minister to adopt a stricter border policy But the US president’s commentary on the Prime Minister’s possible resignation marks his boldest intervention to date ⤵️ telegraph.co.uk/politics/2026/…

@TexansCommenter The real question then becomes: Are other QBs able to be consistently successful against 2 high looks? If not, then CJ's play is normative. If so, then we need to figure out why Stroud is struggling against this shell (I agree: any semblance of a run game would help immensely).

The other point I forgot to mention regarding the clip below is that it’s a good example of how CJ Stroud (and plenty of other good quarterbacks) can be lethal when defenses aren’t sitting in two-high shells. During his rookie season, Stroud saw more single-high and other non-two-high looks, likely because teams were still figuring out what he could and couldn’t handle at the NFL level. In Years 2 and 3, defenses fed the Texans a steady diet of two-high shells, daring them to run against lighter boxes. The Texans largely struggled to make them pay for it, allowing opponents to stay in those looks. An improved run game should force defenses to bring an extra defender into the box more often, creating more single-high opportunities and more instances like the clip below for Stroud to dissect in the passing game. That’s when quarterbacks like Stroud can really stress a defense, when they have both the answers pre-snap and the one-on-one opportunities downfield that come from defenses being forced out of their preferred two-high structures.
Houston Stressans@TexansCommenter

It’s crazy to me that some people believe CJ Stroud isn’t smart enough to play NFL QB at a high level or lacks the football IQ to do it. This clip of him with @Nate_Tice via @TA_FootballShow (YouTube) after his rookie season is a great example of his football intelligence. Pre-snap, he identifies a fire zone and knows he’s hot to the left (slide side) if they bring more rushers than they can block. They do. But he also recognizes the backside linebacker immediately flying over the top, understanding that’s the weakness of the coverage. While he could still take the hot throw to Tank, he knows that vacated backside window creates an opportunity to hit Schultz on the glance route for a bigger play. Football IQ doesn’t just disappear. Other arguments can be entertained, but the idea that he’s not smart enough to play the position or process NFL defenses in real time simply isn’t true. The film from all three seasons has consistently shown the opposite from my observations. Also, it’s nice to see Tank recognize he’s the hot answer on the route and immediately give his QB his eyes. That’s something I feel this offense has lacked at times over the years, receivers consistently seeing the same picture as the quarterback and helping him solve problems post-snap.

@elIisburner Chelsea sold Cucurella because he wanted out from our club. They had no leverage and no plan to entice him to stay. He finally saw the light, just like Enzo. Next summer it's JP and Cole, possibly Caicedo, too. They'll all want out.

Minimum wage in 2005 was £5.05 an hour. A Freddo cost 10p. One hour of work bought you 50 Freddos. In 2026, minimum wage is £12.71 and a Freddo is 39p. One hour of work now buys you just 32 Freddos. So despite minimum wage more than doubling, your Freddo buying power has fallen by 36%. If wages had actually kept pace with Freddo inflation, minimum wage would be £19.65 an hour today. Forget economists. Forget politicians. The Freddo has just delivered the most depressing cost of living graph you'll ever see.

Fofana epitomises everything that is wrong with the culture across the squad. I’d be looking to offload him as quickly as possible. A rotten apple who thinks he’s a lot better than he is.
Pys@CFCPys

🚨 Chelsea are not actively looking to sell Wesley Fofana, however he is under scrutiny as Chelsea aim to add 1-2 CB’s. Fofana was highly rated by former manager Enzo Maresca, who, according to sources, often told him privately he was "better than the others”. (@NizaarKinsella) bbc.co.uk/sport/football…

The plan is for this plane to be in service for two years and then Trump will take if for himself. No President has ever stolen an Air Force for himself. And you paid for it. The total cost could be $1 billion of your money for a new luxury jet for Trump and his family.

@elIisburner Why do you people insist on signings when it's well-known we cannot sign anyone without *major sales first? The Cucu sale doesn't even cover our reported losses for last season; thus, we cannot add more debt to that ledger.

@w2k_ @BrynnTannehill Pantsir has quad 30mm radar-controlled, proximity-fused rounds and AA guns. The drones are not fast, nor are they too small - these are not quadcopter drones. They are plenty big enough to show up on radar, but for some reason, the crews are unable to engage.

@Arthur_Foxache @BrynnTannehill It is a capacity issue. They physically can't deploy enough anti-air to counter 500+ drones at once. The general term for it is a saturation attack. Drones are just too small, cheap and fast to produce for missile-based AA like Pantsir to keep up.

Fun fact: Russia has tried to shield "real" ethnic Russians in Moscow / St. Pete regions from the war to the maximum extent possible. They will throw a LOT of AD at protecting Moscow: more than is strictly necessary. Every AD asset on a roof in Moscow is one less in Ukraine.

Lacroix is a player I really would want at this club. I'd take him over Fofana any day, I absolutely love his game and wish this was true. It's too bad the board will probably just brief the media about internal discussions for a few weeks as a PR stunt. I can't trust a single thing put out by these people running this club anymore.
