My teenage son secretly sold his guitar to buy a new wheelchair for his classmate — the next day, two police officers showed up at our house.
My thirteen-year-old, David, loved playing the guitar very much, and once, for his birthday, we gave him an expensive guitar. It wasn't an exclusive guitar, but it wasn't cheap either.
A few days ago, I went into his room to collect his dirty clothes and saw that the guitar wasn't there.
So I asked David where he had left the guitar. He lowered his eyes and said:
"Mom, I'm sorry I didn't tell you, but I sold it."
I froze.
But he continued:
"Emily had a very old wheelchair. The wheels barely worked. It was very hard for her to move around, and her family didn't have money for a new one..."
Emily is his classmate. Sadly, she was left paralyzed after an accident in childhood. I know her — she is a wonderful girl, but I didn't know that her family was in such a difficult situation.
I hugged David. To be honest, at that moment I was proud of my son, but I told him that in the future he should tell me about such things.
Just yesterday, David gave Emily the new wheelchair. Emily was so shocked that she cried with joy.
I was happy for her.
The next day, early in the morning, there was a loud knock at the door.
I opened it and saw two police officers standing on my porch.
My blood ran cold.
One of them asked:
"Ma'am, are you David's mother?"
I nodded. Just then, David ran out of his room and stood frozen when he saw the police officers.
The officer continued:
"Ma'am, are you aware of what your son did? I'd like you and your son to come outside with us, please."
My knees gave way as I said:
"WHAT FOR? WHAT'S GOING ON HERE?" ⬇️

20 years ago, a man screamed his own name into a microphone and ruined everything. It became one of the most famous moments in internet history.
A group of players in an online game called World of Warcraft had spent several minutes planning a complicated raid. Timing, positioning, survival odds. One player calculated their chances of success at 32.33 percent, repeating.
The whole time, one of their teammates wasn’t listening. He’d stepped away from his computer to reheat some chicken.
When he came back, he ignored everything, screamed his character’s name at the top of his lungs, and charged straight into the fight alone. Everyone followed him in. They all died in seconds.
“Leeroy, you are just stupid as hell.”
“At least I have chicken.”
The clip spread across the internet before “going viral” was even a phrase. It was referenced in South Park, How I Met Your Mother, and an article in a military journal. The game’s developer added the character as an official figure inside the game. His name became shorthand for anyone who ruins a plan by doing something reckless.
The whole thing was staged. The group admitted years later it was a scripted re-enactment of something that had actually happened. The cameraman said: “We didn’t think anyone would believe it was real. We thought it was so obviously satire.”
The player behind Leeroy Jenkins is a guy named Ben Schulz. He repairs industrial lighting for a living.

Is anyone in the market for a 700-year-old Templar Knights watchtower?
Because there's one for sale in the Lot valley, France. 7 bedrooms across 6 floors, a frescoed dining room, spiral staircase and views over a peaceful medieval village in the Lot region.
There's also a 2-bedroom stone cottage in the walled courtyard, an enclosed garden and a heated swimming pool.
Asking price: €550k ($634k).
The Templar Knights who built this probably didn't picture the pool. But here we are.
