@AusEmbET is proud to support a new Direct Aid Program (#DAP) project with Dorcas Aid Ethiopia, in strengthening community resilience and sustainable livelihoods in West Arsi Zone, #Ethiopia.

Through training community vaccinators and veterinary vendors, their project in 🇪🇹 promotes gender inclusive #OneHealth practices and supports the vaccination of around 120,000 chickens each year, creating livelihood opportunities & improving food security for 27,000 households.

The @AusEmbET was pleased to meet with the Kyeema Foundation representatives, a long-time Australian NGO Cooperation Program (#ANCP) partner, and their visiting Board and Management, to discuss our partnership in strengthening poultry health systems in 🇪🇹.

The @AusEmbET expresses its heartfelt condolences on the passing of Nicholas Haysom, former @unmissmedia Head. A tireless peacemaker, he dedicated his life to advancing peace and protecting civilians. Our thoughts are with his family, colleagues, and all whose lives he touched.

#Australia is proud to partner with local organisations driving innovative, community-led solutions that support both people and the environment.

The project empowers vulnerable women to establish women-led cooperatives producing biodegradable packaging, promoting sustainable livelihoods whilst contributing to Ethiopia’s transition away from single-use plastics.
