@BorisJohnson Weddings for 6-30 are not commercially viable. In the same way yr Dept for Education can’t afford to educate a class 6 kids. The no.s just don’t stack up. It’s not a difficult concept, it’s a numbers game & for a lot of us our no. is nearly up. #whataboutweddings

@GeoffNorcott Excellent night’s entertainment, thanks Geoff. My 81 year old Dad suggested we go and see you after discovering you on here, so I wasn’t quite sure what to expect! Top night.

Thanks to a brilliant Tuesday night crowd in Solihull. I suspect I’ll never get quite that reaction for a joke about stamp duty.

@facebookapp How do I contact team your customer support with a query regarding 'unpicking' the links between my business and personal Facebook pages? I can't find the answer in your support pages.

“We can’t live in a world where all we are thinking about is COVID.” Health Secretary Sajid Javid says the other health problems that have built up ‘need to be treated as a priority’. #KayBurley: trib.al/1yWGGtX

@HabitatUK can you please tell me the external dimensions of the Finn single bed 809/5251. Taking into account the slant of the headboard. Thanks

The High Court have ruled in favour of the Gov’t. They stalled, delayed and refused to mediate. The Judge agreed the clock had run down. The Gov’t FAILED to disclose a SAGE report, confirming that during the whole pandemic, only 226 cases were associated to Hospitality.

I do wear a mask when legally required (even though they make bugger all difference), I was vaccinated yesterday (even though I've had covid already and would be at very very low risk even if I hadn't) and we are STILL in lockdown for at least another THREE MONTHS. Explain that?

@rickburbage @SteveBakerHW Pub industry = £22bn Wedding industry = £15bn Tax revenue not far apart. Weddings bring a boost to tourism, retail, hospitality and beauty sectors too. One is also slightly more important as a role in society, religion and culture.

💯! The Govt have no understanding whatsoever of what we are going through we love our hospitality friends but we’re NOT the same - our problems are specific to this industry only - what DO we have to do to make you not only listen but truly understand 🤷🏻‍♀️🤯👌😡#whataboutweddings

#thread Let’s talk about wedding insurance. 2020 - insurers did not pay out to couples despite policies covering “outbreak of infectious or contagious disease”. The few that did like @JohnLewisRetail then chased (bullied) businesses for return of deposits using subrogation.1/18

👇#ExcludedUK urge the Chancellor Mr Rishi Sunak to finally bring in those he decided weren't worthy of support. After nearly twelve months of being left in the cold, it's high time that the man in No11 did the right thing, the only thing and includes those he left behind.

Cutting my wedding guest list from 80 day plus 40 evening to just 30 altogether (28 guests plus us) sure has been brutal. 😥 Nothing else we can do though after already postponing 3 times! @WAWofficialUK #whataboutweddings

It's good we are now hopeful about getting married in August, however it is no use if our suppliers have no support to keep them going until then! Our suppliers deserve support, not just reassurance it will get better! @RishiSunak @BorisJohnson @WAWofficialUK #whataboutweddings

“The wedding industry needs a clear plan” – Sarah Haywood, @UKWeddingsOrg We’re proud to stand alongside @WAWofficialUK and the #UKWeddingsTaskforce to emphasise that all events sectors are unique, and so need individual considerations for them to thrive once again.

Heart breaking to cancel our wedding photographer today. Usually does 60 weddings a year, and only has three left currently. So unfair and unviable for these poor suppliers! #whataboutweddings

A @WAWofficialUK message from a bride: “My 2020 wedding has been postponed 3 times & in that time we've lost our caterer & venue who have both gone into liquidation, so we've lost 25k. I hope you get support that you all need!🤞” - read the room @RishiSunak #whataboutweddings

Today I can announce the Government dropped the substantial meal requirement in their recent roadmap as a result of our court case. Judges in our case ruled the measure was arguably discriminatory towards certain sections of society. This is a landmark victory for hospitality.
