Remember me talking about my neighbor's dogs that keep pooping in our yard with zero care from the owner? One of them just chased my 6yo daughter while she was playing outside and bit her arm. 15 minutes before by 9yo daughter's birthday party. I'm not at the urgent care with my six year old and my wife is juggling a birthday party with 8 kids on her own. This is the second child this dog has bitten. We have already contacted animal control and filed a report. Is there anything else I should be doing?

Now im not some green activist, but if the oil prices concern you, what should really concern you is the fact that we almost had widespread adoption of ethanol and it was completely bodied by the oil industry propaganda. It is essentially premium racing fuel, burns clean, and is far cheaper than gasoline. It is less efficient, but if the technology caught up to that, small engine turbo cars could have been designed around ethanol to figure that out. I personally run flex fuel in my car and it makes way more power with mild loss in economy. There are definitely downsides such as water absorption, but again, this could be worked out with enough eyes on the problem. We were robbed of cheap, clean, powerful fuel, and now i get to laugh and use ethanol at the same low price while people cry at the pump. RETVRN to corn

This isn’t a rancher. This isn’t a cowboy. This is a profiteering hedge fund manager who trades cattle instead of stocks. This is Big Ag at its worst, pretending to be “rural.” He proudly dons a cowboy hat as though he gives a damn about any of the millions of cattle he puts through his crammed, manure filled feedlots where none touch grass and they live their lives miserably shoulder to shoulder on concrete. The circle of life is a profit source, not a thing of beauty to be respected and cared for. And the little podcaster nods and claps. Sickening.
Chris Powers@fortworthchris

Today I sat down with Jordan Levi, the Kosher Cowboy - a Jewish kid from the Chicago suburbs who became the largest cattle feeder in America. Jordan runs Five Rivers Cattle Feeding with a capacity of nearly a million head. He started as a runner on the Chicago Board of Trade at 13 and found his way to cattle through a hedge fund that sent him to a feedlot in Amarillo. He showed up in Gucci loafers and never left the industry. We go deep on how he trades the curve instead of making binary bets, why the cattle supply is the tightest since the 1950s, and what it takes to manage risk on nearly a million animals across 13 feedlots. I hope you enjoy this episode as much as I did. 02:16 - The Belted Galloway 03:51 - The Kosher Cowboy 08:05 - Pulling value of the futures forward 11:43 - Learning Cattle trading 16:48 - Daily average gain in cattle 18:20 - Jordan’s Eureka moment in the cattle industry 21:08 - What does trading in animals actually look like? 27:05 - How Jordan defines his ROI in trading cattle 31:17 - The Cattle curve 33:37 - The state of the cattle market 42:10 - Buying the largest cattle feeder in the world 46:09 - Grass vs. grain fed cattle 49:15 - Predictions for the cattle supply over the next 10 years 50:54 - The international market 53:17 - Trading frequencies and macro thesis 01:00:27 - USA beef vs. international beef 01:05:21 - The cattle supply chain 01:07:32 - The future of auction yards and ranchers 01:09:40 - AI in AgTech 01:12:52 - The biggest problem facing the industry 01:14:42 - Livestock as a commodity that dies and how that impacts trading theory 01:20:51 - Is there a market for new entrants into cattle? 01:21:41 - Beef prices and the impact of a closed border on the industry 01:24:39 - Jordan’s biggest ideas for the industry 01:26:49 - Philanthropic efforts 01:31:24 - a day in the life of Jordan 01:26:42 - Risk management in cattle 01:41:17 - Does what you do show a leading indicator to the broader health of the American economy?

Is there some special rabbi right that allows them to just wave down cops at will and ask them to arrest people? When you tell a cop you were “attacked” they are going to assume physical violence. So that was dishonest at best. I mean the guy clearly was harassing him but that’s NYC for public figures. Even I’ve experienced similar shit and I just walk away or talk shit back. And he lied to the cop too. It went from “Zionist pig” to “f*** Jew” and we all watched the clip. The latter never was said.

mistake #1 is literally ever staring at your phone when black people are around you. They don't have a prefrontal cortex. You have to stand back to the wall at the subway, and if possible, avoid altogether. My husband raised my daughter since she was 7. She's 28 now and always called him "dad." Then her real father got out of prison and came back into her life. Suddenly my husband got jealous. She stopped calling him dad, started using his first name, and he completely switched up. He ignores her now, pulled out of co-signing her car, and said her "real dad" should handle it. Imagine raising a child for 20+ years just to throw her away over pride. Is love really that conditional? Now I'm stuck playing mediator in a family being torn apart by ego. Am I wrong for being disgusted by his behavior?

A junior said "Good morning" to me in the elevator. I checked my watch. It was 11:00 AM. I looked at him. "It's almost lunch," I said. "You're three hours late to the concept of morning." He tried to explain he'd been at his desk since 7. I interrupted and told him accuracy matters more than intent. I emailed his reviewer suggesting he take a CLE on time management. He apologized later. I didn't reply. I forwarded the apology to HR as proof of his inefficiency. Greetings are risky. He learned an important lesson. Never speak to a partner in the elevator. Unless spoken to.

customer says i can buy that water heater at the big box store for six hundred bucks. why are you charging three grand. tell him go ahead. buy it. strap it to the roof of your sedan. drag it down the stairs. solder the copper. vent the gas perfectly so your family wakes up tomorrow morning. and when it leaks and floods your basement on christmas eve, call the big box store and see if they send a truck out. you aren't paying for the metal box. you are paying for the peace of mind that it was done right. and the phone number that answers when it goes wrong.

If you can afford to have food delivered straight to your front door, you can afford to tip at least $20. Period. You’re not just paying for tacos. You’re paying for somebody to: • Use their own car • Use their own gas • Put miles on their engine • Sit in traffic • Wait at the restaurant • Bring it directly to your door All because you didn’t feel like going to get it yourself. Delivery is a luxury. It’s convenience. It’s comfort. It’s somebody else handling the errand while you sit at home in pajamas. And before somebody says “that’s their job”….yes, and tips are how gig drivers actually make their money. The base pay on apps like DoorDash is not what you think it is. If you can drop $60 on dinner, you can drop $20 on the person bringing it to you. If $20 feels like too much, maybe pickup is the better option. Respect the hustle. Respect the gas. Respect the time.

“You either need to transition your child or you don’t get to keep your child.” Attorney Erin Friday says California Child Protective Services can threaten parents who refuse to use their child’s preferred pronouns. She told me she feared calling the police when her 13 year old daughter ran away because she worried CPS would take her child. “My daughter, who was 13 years old, just starting high school, was secretly socially transitioned at school.” “The school started to call my daughter by a male name, use male pronouns.” “When I called the school and told them to stop, that next week Child Protective Services was at my door.” “The next day, the police.” “That was an immediate alert to me that the school wants to parent my child.” “If I didn’t follow and call my daughter a boy, Child Protective Services may come and take my child away.” “Parents in Southern California had lost custody of their children because they wouldn’t transition their daughter.” “I already had a black mark, and a few months later my daughter ran away.” “The normal thing for a parent to do is to ask law enforcement to help find your child… but I couldn’t make that phone call.” “Because Child Protective Services can swoop in anytime and take my child.” “It’s coercion at its highest level.” “You don’t get to parent your child.” “This is America. This is insane.” @erinfriday75490

WHOSE SIDE ARE YOU ON??? Is this guy in this picture OK with you?? Someone’s story: “To my neighbor who thinks mowing the lawn SHIRTLESS in a family neighborhood is totally normal. I've already contacted the authorities. This isn't a beach. It's not a gym. It's a residential street where families live and kids are outside all the time. I don't care if it's 90 degrees out - PUT A SHIRT ON! Basic standards and common courtesy still exist for a reason. Broad daylight. Front yard. Acting like this is completely acceptable behavior” Then he asks: “Am I crazy for thinking there should be at least some level of decency in shared spaces, or are we just throwing social norms out the window now? your thoughts?”

GLP-1s aren’t marketed as a “cure” for obesity — and obesity isn’t a condition we “cure” in the first place. Obesity is a chronic, relapsing metabolic disease, much like hypertension or asthma. When treatment stops, the biology returns. That’s not failure — that’s physiology. Comparing GLP-1s to a crutch misses the mechanism. These medications act on hypothalamic appetite regulation, gastric emptying, insulin signaling, and reward pathways. They address the underlying neurohormonal drivers of weight regain — the very forces that make long-term weight loss so difficult. Lifestyle remains foundational. Nutrition quality, protein intake, resistance training, sleep, and activity all matter. But decades of data show that “relearning your relationship with food” alone does not reliably reverse severe obesity at scale. If it did, we wouldn’t have a global epidemic. We don’t tell patients with hypertension to “heal” their blood pressure and give the ACE inhibitor back. We treat the biology. GLP-1s are not a cure. They are evidence-based therapy for a chronic disease. And in chronic disease management, long-term treatment isn’t weakness — it’s medicine.
💯KnightmarishJ💯@KnightmarishJ

...and here's the problem. GLP-1's are being marketed and sold as a cure. GLP-1's are not a "cure" for obesity. The same way a crutch is not a cure for a broken leg. They're a tool that's meant to support the user while they heal. Healing from obesity means not only getting your metabolic processes "reset," but relearning how to have a healthy relationship with food and develop an active lifestyle that supports long term health. This is how you cure obesity.

We’re being told hospitals are “flooded” with GLP-1 complications and that we’re at the “tip of the iceberg.” I’ve been a bariatric surgeon long enough to remember these drugs when they were still in trials. I’ve prescribed them. I’ve monitored patients on them. And when the ER had a question about one of my patients on a GLP-1, they called me. I am not seeing a flood. What I see — every single shift — are the consequences of untreated obesity: heart failure, uncontrolled diabetes, infections, sleep apnea crises, fatty liver disease progressing quietly toward cirrhosis. That is the deluge. Yes, GLP-1 medications have side effects. We know what they are. We counsel patients about them. We stop the drug if needed. That’s called medicine. But the claim that a hidden catastrophe is overwhelming hospitals is not something you prove with adjectives. You prove it with data. And if such a signal were real, it would not remain invisible for long in a healthcare system that tracks admissions, billing codes, adverse events, and outcomes with relentless precision. Obesity is a chronic, relapsing disease with serious downstream consequences. Treating it is not cosmetic vanity, and it is not “forcibly stopping people from eating.” It is modifying disordered physiology — something we do every day with insulin, thyroid hormone, antihypertensives, and chemotherapy. The relevant comparison is not drug risk versus zero. It is drug risk versus the very real morbidity of leaving obesity untreated. If someone believes there is an iceberg, show the sonar. Until then, what I see in the emergency room is not a wave of GLP-1 disasters. I see the far more predictable damage of a disease we’ve under-treated for decades.
Suneel Dhand MD@DrSuneelDhand

Hospitals are getting a ton of admissions with side effects from GLP-1 injections. People in the USA can’t see it, because there is no centralized data collection. Thankfully, countries like the UK do collect all the data and can see it. We are only at the tip of the iceberg with this disaster. It’s a terrible idea that millions of people are on a hormone-like substance to forcibly stop them from eating too much
