Tom Henderson from Insider Gaming says that Gears of War: E-Day cost more than 400 million dollars to make. In a recent talk, he said the game and another one called Clockwork Revolution together cost over 500 million dollars. He called them a test to see if Xbox should keep making games only for their own consoles. Older Gears games were in the $50–100M range (development only).

This is Senua. • Full action-adventure gameplay — Balanced mix of combat, traversal, and puzzle-solving (not a cinematic walking sim) • Deeper, tactical combat — Fight multiple enemies, stealth options, verticality, environmental interactions • Expanded weapons & dual-wielding — Pick up/use axes, torches, throwable weapons; dual-wield with sword • Focus Abilities — Reality-shattering powers usable in combat, puzzles, and traversal for crowd control and exploration • Interconnected world — ~2x larger than Hellblade II, semi-open linear map with exploration and secrets • Improved traversal — Snappier movement, climbing, vaulting, jumping, and vertical spaces • Boss fights — Boss encounters against mythical beings • Standalone story • This time, Ninja Theory is using the entire studio team to develop the game • Coming 2027
