@LuciaLobosvilla @BabyLionTurtle my wording was wrong - it seems that they’re at least sharing a dish or sokka is trying to eat her food (which is normal ex behaviour i suppose?) & suki is playfully holding it away while aang is bending. sharing food seems like something you do with a current partner not an ex

@onecuentaa @LuciaLobosvilla Yes the comics explicitly show that they're together as teenagers. As adults though, they're never again depicted as being as close. I try my best to fill in the gaps with logic, subtext, and authorial intent. My analysis was recently validated. And it will be again.

Taking that as evidence that they're still together over the entire movies & multiple books worth of Sokka being away from her and consistently snubbing her is strange to me. But hey, it's your head canon so 🤷‍♂️

@LuciaLobosvilla but why would they include artwork of them playing around if they had broken up? there’s no real concrete proof yet that they grew apart. suki’s repeated exclusion stems from the team clearly not agreeing with the idea that she’s apart of team avatar

@BabyLionTurtle sukis tie to the gang was mostly sokka though. presuming they broke up with no real evidence but are hanging out seems like more of a reach than assuming theyre still together, especially since bryke havent said otherwise. in fact they half jokingly said they moved to the suburbs

@onecuentaa The "moved to the suburbs" line might hold the least weight out of everything atp But I'm not saying definitively one way the other. I just made an observation 3 years ago that Suki is often excluded & that ATLAs creators dont see her as part of the team. And I was vindicated 🤷‍♂️

@onecuentaa She's still one of the homies. Anecdotally, I have a few friend groups where two exes are present and they're completely chill with each other in group settings. Especially if it was a thing years ago / in high school or even college. No reason to ruin the vibes for everyone.

@BabyLionTurtle +regardless, the odd wording that can be debated either way doesn’t negate that despite having no role in the movie, bryke and the writers still have her (and sokka) in mind. if they had really broken up by this point in the story then why would this artwork be included?

@Tyler299791518 Nothing "wrong" needs to happen for two people to break up after 15 years. Their lives likely just took them in different directions -- Suki back to Kyoshi Island and Sokka to the SWT. Anyway, there more (circumstantial) evidence they split in the full 17min video on YouTube 👍
