@Johnny2Cellos I'm curious, how far is the gap between KPDH and Encanto?

They're saving him for the next game

Wade Whipple will not return for ‘Sonic the Hedgehog 4’ as his actor Adam Pally is not listed in the casting.

I really appreciate the way Jessie approaching Lilypad on the bed mirrors Woody approaching Buzz back in the first film.
Pixar@Pixar
Meet Lilypad...she's always listening 🐸 #ToyStory5 is only in theaters June 19
English

I'm not entirely sure this is the right approach, tbh.
Alongside the rise in AI slop content, there's been a huge rise in AI paranoia, and I'm very curious how exactly YouTube will use these poll results.

YouTube now lets users rate videos based on whether they feel like AI-generated “slop” .

Gengar is the perfect Pokémon.
He’s essential to every trainer’s starting 6, with a versatile and unpredictable moveset.
If he’s taken damage? Hypnosis —> Dream Eater will put your opponent to sleep, suck their HP, and replenish yours. With the right trainer, he can’t be killed.
Not to mention he’s immune to normal, fighting, and ground-type moves, rendering even the strongest Pokémon like Machamp absolutely useless.
Beyond his obvious tactical advantages, Gengar’s aesthetic is big and menacing, but at the same time, virtually nonexistent — a ghost with a grin. He’s dark purple, which represents luxury, power, wisdom, and… mystery.
Gengar is shrouded in lore, rumored to be Clefable’s shadow. Nicknamed the “trickster entity,” his presence is marked by a sudden drop in temperature. He’s literally “chill af”
Oh and the only way to get Gengar was with a link cable & a homie (through a trade). His evolution wasn’t possible through level-grinding, only kinship.
Gengar is king

why is every man’s favorite pokemon gengar? 😭 can someone explain this phenomenon to me please

@Johnny2Cellos Going by the pfp I'm assuming Chainsaw Man

@StevenCenname @JaydenLibran Leaving Frankenweenie and pushing out Pirates is insane, and there’s no world where I’d push out TS4 before Missing Link or HTTYD3 personally.
Weathering With You probably was my favorite that year though
English

@Johnny2Cellos @JaydenLibran I would’ve pushed out Pirates in 2012 for Rise of the Guardians.
TS4 getting nominated over Promare and Weathering With You is a complete joke. I’d put those two in and take out the two sequels nominated that year.
English

@kidwolfopowers @JaydenLibran Personally I just can’t comprehend not feeling the emotional punch of TS4, but I’ve noticed that it seems to resonate more with slightly older audiences. Which makes sense given the themes.
English

@JaydenLibran @Johnny2Cellos Although, I do agree with @Johnny2Cellos about TS4 not being dated. It just feels very unremarkable and lacks a lot of the punch the previous three entries had.
English

@StevenCenname @JaydenLibran I think egregious misses can go either way. Awarding an undeserving film or not awarding an all-time masterpiece.
But Brave and TS4 both deserved nominations at the very least
English

@Johnny2Cellos @JaydenLibran I think of egregious misses as more than just “best movie doesn’t win.” But the winner is something that arguably was far from being worthy of a nomination in the first place. If The Boss Baby beat Coco, that’d be egregious.
English

@JaydenLibran @mewmdude77 Didn’t say it deserved a win but The Croods and Despicable Me 2 are in this lineup!
English

@Johnny2Cellos @mewmdude77 Monsters Inc is a masterpiece. Monsters University wasn't. Even if University was nominated, it might not have won anyway.
English

@JaydenLibran @kidwolfopowers Genuinely trying to wrap my head around the idea that anything about TS4 feels dated
English

@kidwolfopowers @Johnny2Cellos Another factor guiding this is how timeless the movie is. TS4 feels dated already, and in terms of its spot in the Toy Story filmography, feels unnecessary and forgettable. Klaus and I Lost My Body are easily rewatchable.
English

@JaydenLibran @mewmdude77 True but Monsters Inc is a masterpiece and it was stronger than at least 2 of these other nominees
English

@mewmdude77 @Johnny2Cellos It wasn't nearly as strong as Monsters Inc.
English

@StevenCenname @JaydenLibran I mean you’re just strengthening my argument, I’m not claiming the choice was contrary to the academy’s voting tendencies, just that it’s an egregious miss
English

@Johnny2Cellos @JaydenLibran It never had a shot at winning. An American awards show wasn’t going to give an award to a movie about a guy who made war planes used to fight against us.
English

@JaydenLibran I get ya, for me there just isn’t really anything in TS4’s year that I think stands out. I Lost My Body is neat and Klaus is pretty charming, but I don’t think there’s any obvious “THIS SHOULD HAVE WON” nominees that year
English

@Johnny2Cellos By the way, I don't disagree with you or your metrics for judging films. I would have voted for The Wind Rises myself. But for me, Toy Story 4 is like your Frozen.
English

@JaydenLibran I mean I guess this kinda just boils down to how you subjectively view the category should be awarded. Obviously Frozen was a cultural phenomenon and a solid film and the win wasn’t a surprise. But The Wind Rises is one of the best films ever in the category.
English

@Johnny2Cellos Frozen on the other hand was expected, largely due to it being more on the side of a cultural phenomenon. It was also during a time when the voters were heavily leaning towards letting their kids vote for them.
