Yeah but I don’t think the car being smaller means any increase in speed. The core problem is the lack of downward force and a friction coefficient necessary to prevent wheel spin. I believe Tesla developed a solution that involves adding what are essentially air thrusters on mounted on the tail of the vehicle. I don’t know if they ever released all the test data, but I remember them showing the air thrusters added the necessary horizontal force for the car to accelerate quicker while staying within the physics issues you run into at those limits. Hopefully SpaceX and Tesla merge soon and they figure out a way to add the air thrusters to all vehicles at a cost to makes sense for them. Judging by the past, I have no doubt that Tesla will have more than one production vehicle that can break the 1.9 sec little bit that we’re currently at
