@soonerhokie i’ve heard of the tent city near the river. on campus. damn. no bueno

@BeerControl UVA and Charlottesville as a whole has a pretty significant homeless situation. My wife was not a fan. They have a tent city set up at the city limit. And there were several homeless on the campus itself. I wound up letting some guy into one of the libraries.

a friend is at the uva vs VT softball game and he says a premium beer there is mich ultra. JC really?

@BeerControl Oh and my wife is very anti-UVA. Too many homeless people on campus. She didn’t feel safe.

@BeerControl Ha ha. I told my wife that I kind of wanted to tell my students to show my son a good time around off campus.

@soonerhokie let me know, i can make any game and i can get him places.

@BeerControl We will be going down for some game this fall. He wants to get the gameday experience. I need to do some work to get him into one of the state schools though. None of these schools is cheap.

@BeerControl I almost went to GT. I made the right choice. Honestly, Mason would fit in much better at VT than at UVA. Plus it’s a better engineering school. One of my students was doing civil so that helped. He got some sub. The Hindy is more expensive now. Did not get him the Killian’s 😂

@soonerhokie for me it’s also as much personality fit. gt engineering is damn!

@BeerControl He’s pretty smart, but I don’t think he can get into UVA or Georgia Tech out of state.

@BeerControl Took him to Macado’s and had him meet two of my former students who are juniors there. They sold him hard. The tour was terrible though. Giant ass campus took 30 minutes. UVA, Clemson, and GT were all 90+ minutes.

@BeerControl I went to Tech last week with my son. He liked it a lot. He also liked UVA. 😳 It would make Christmas shopping easier. I would only have to buy them two of my kids. 🤣

@Justin_Ferber branded is fine, expected even, but i’m throwing hands if charged premium for mich ultra! 🤣. i don’t ever seeing beer sold at tech softball, so that still better.

@BeerControl Softball might have more limited selections, typically they have IPAs at football/hoops. A lot of them are UVa branded ones though and just meh. They’ve mixed in some different stuff lately though from local breweries
