@MTGraveStudio John Sayles is one - his subtle humor injected into the screenplays for Piranha, Alligator, and The Howling is impeccable.

Everyone seems to have a favorite director, but do you have a favorite screenwriter??

@basedgizmo I have mixed feelings about the show, I always thought it would’ve been cooler to more faithfully adapt the movie and then they could’ve started taking inspiration from the original sequels. I felt like they were building a crooked and secretive town adult Norman could thrive in.

@NatBrehmer Which is a great way to look at it, but I’m glad they adapted Lower Berth. The GhouLunatics featured in quite a few stories I wish got adapted including While the Cat’s Away and Horror Beneath the Streets. At least “Cat’s” got adapted for the animated series.

The thing I don't like about the Crypt Keeper having an origin episode is that I've always loved to think the very reason he's a withered corpse is because he's that same old man from the '50s comics, just dug up again after 35 years.

@stargirlvibes Skeet Ulrich said he knew and that “most people knew,” which includes Rose McGowan who was one of Weinstein’s victims in 1997. I’m sure Wes had some kind of enlightening experiences with Weinstein, including Cursed which Craven continued working with Weinstein after.

@BrainMutant I mean it’s Hollywood i’m sure he wasnt the only name in the business that was a predator. There’s no evidence Wes knew anything about Harvey. Especially since the allegations and convictions were made public after he died.

Wes Craven’s own daughter, literal blood, knows he wouldn’t have watched this happen to her. It’s funny how you “fans” claim to think you know these people just because you rewatch a franchise multiple times.
Judyn Roberts@BlackwellJudyn

Kevin, Neve, and Courtney (and David) knew Wes Craven intimately. He wasn't just a director, he was their family, their friend, and in Kevin's case a father even. If Wes was alive, no, he would not be fist bumping Melissa Barrera. He'd be sticking by people he loved.

Hard to believe there was a time when Scream was only a trilogy made by mostly the same cast & crew and the most you ever heard about it was that “the third movie isn’t as good.”

I love reading about unproduced flicks. What movies that never made it to the big screen would you most want to see finally get the green light?

@PhxntomHaunt Yeah the idea with the 2013 one is that most of their characteristics stemmed from maiming themselves. If they stuck with that and had more interesting ways for deadites to do that and look different because of it, I think the new looks would have more of an impact.

@BrainMutant The designs are more or less the same. I like the Deadites but they need to change it up a bit. There's going to be a Deadite dog, so that'll be cool.

@d4doome I disagree as those were generally shot on film and look incredible restored. Compare 1974’s Kolchak: The Night Stalker on Blu-ray with its DVD counterpart. If there are film elements there is no reason not to preserve and restore.

@basedgizmo I think it’s worth having different directors as they approach different eras & situations. One director might handle the possibility of Beneath style mutants better than another would. Reeves did a good duology and Ball did a solid throwback of sorts to the TV series era.

@Getting_GB I’m more surprised they don’t take advantage of the old school style book covers or the 90s TV show and its music motifs. All of that would help things sell like hotcakes.

Tweets to Give You Goosebumps
New House of Shivers cover has me thinking. Is Goosebumps anti fan-service? Like, a lot of Goosebumps content obviously appeals to nostalgia but Stine himself? He could be churning out more Haunted Mask books, or another Dead House, but he has no interest in that--

@slshrs @SnyderCareca The original isn’t weak and it’s one of the greatest horror movies ever made. It practically reinvented the genre in 1981.

@supersymmetry_I I remember Fisher used to say she had trouble getting her daughter into Star Wars and had to use the gold bikini scenes to keep her interested so she knew what she’d look like when she was older.

@Spikor1982 @HumanCinepede This is true, but Paramount still has all of the negatives so each episode can be reconstructed. There were also little to no VFX so that makes it way easier too.

@BrainMutant @HumanCinepede I think these syndicates shows from this era are difficult to do since they were finalized on tape. It requires a lot of work. 50s shows look better than ones from the 80s/early 90s because of this. Bummer.
