There is something called ripple effect. Had Messi been sent off for that foul, it would have greatly impacted on the game. Maybe Argentina goes on to win 1 -0. Maybe Algeria males a 2 - 1 comeback. Maybe another player gets to win the MOTM. It entirely means that Algeria was robbed. It also means that Austria who ordinarily wouldn't be facing Messi on Monday who should be facing a ban, would be tasked with playing against the greatest player ever, further reducing their chances of a win. By failing to send him off, Messi went ahead to score two more goals. Why not? He is the GOAT. He has bagged the MOTM. He has broken the World Cup goal record. He is already in line for another Player of the Tournament. Ripple Effect. It is not just football, it is life.

"It's 100% a red card for Lionel Messi. It should've been." Ale Moreno and Nedum Onuoha react to Messi's challenge against Algeria's Aïssa Mandi.

Wait, so AccessBET actually paid people for a 0-0?? 😭 Spain vs Cape Verde ended goalless, and everyone who played Spain or Cape Verde to win still got paid. This is so smart, and the customers actually benefit from it. accessbet.com/promotions/Draw @AccessBET

🚨𝗗𝗜𝗗 𝗬𝗢𝗨 𝗞𝗡𝗢𝗪: Cape Verde's defender Roberto Lopes almost missed out on international football because he thought Cape Verde's invitation on LinkedIn was a scam. 😭🇨🇻 The 33-year-old defender was working as a mortgage advisor and playing part-time football when he received the message. Now he's representing Cape Verde at the World Cup whilst keeping a clean sheet against footballing giants Spain. 🇪🇸 Football is really unmatched. 👏🇨🇻
