If the APC in Kaduna refuses to conduct a free, fair and transparent primary election, then the party is risking serious anti-party activities in Kaduna North. The rumours about imposing a candidate are deeply worrying. Imposition has never strengthened a party — it weakens morale, divides supporters and hands advantage to the opposition. Kaduna North is not a place for political experiments. The incumbent already has a strong base built from years of service and visible records in office. To challenge that, the APC must present a candidate with credibility, grassroots connection and proven impact. The best bet for APC in Kaduna North remains Abdulazeez Kaka @Abunaah He has tangible achievements, empowerment records and real support among the people. He has what it takes to run a competitive and credible race. This is why the idea of imposing Samaila Dujima is unacceptable to many party faithful. Kaduna North deserves competence, capacity and electability — not favoritism. A free and fair primary is not a favour; it is the only way to unite the party and secure victory.

Some people say I post about @ProfIsaPantami because of money. Hmm! What you don’t know is that, I’m not even involved in politics. What I do is for @ProfIsaPantami, and I’m committed to it because, wallahi, I’m not doing it for myself but for the progress of our fellow Ummah. Young people will be supported so they can stand on their own and take care of themselves and their families, to the point where everyone can afford to get married. But nowadays, apart from drug abuse, there’s little that many youths are involved in. It’s really heartbreaking, wallahi. Since this government came into power, it hasn’t provided jobs at all. There’s generally no sense of well-being or comfort in society. These are my reasons in summary, and In Shaa Allah, Malam will become the governor of Gombe State. #istandwithmalam2027

What Do Mischief Makers Really Want? By Yasir A. Jubril One thing about politics is that some people can never be satisfied and it’s never meant to satisfy all. When a public official serves in government and leaves without any visible impact, the first question people ask is simple: What did he actually do for his people? Who did he empower? What projects did he attract? What difference did his years in office make? But when someone can point to clear contributions and measurable impact, a different kind of criticism suddenly emerges. This appears to be the case with Professor Isa Ali Ibrahim Pantami. In his recent interview on Channels Television, Pantami spoke about some of the opportunities and projects facilitated for the people of Gombe State during his time as Director-General of National Information Technology Development Agency and later as Minister of Communications and Digital Economy. From youth-focused digital programs to empowerment initiatives and projects spread across local government areas, his message was straightforward: while serving nationally, he remained mindful of the need to ensure his home state also benefited from available opportunities. That, ordinarily, should not be controversial. In fact, this is exactly what many Nigerians hope for from those who occupy strategic national positions, not just titles, but impact that can be felt by ordinary people. Perhaps the clearest proof of that impact is what happened recently, when groups of youths and supporters reportedly came together to purchase a governorship nomination form for Prof. Pantami, urging him to contest for Governor of Gombe State, reportedly without his prior consent. Regardless of anyone’s political preference, that gesture says a lot. People do not gather resources, mobilize themselves, and publicly rally behind someone they believe did nothing for them. Such support is often built over time through goodwill, access, empowerment, and visible connection with the people. This is why the outrage from some quarters feels less like genuine concern and more like discomfort. Had Pantami completed his service without attracting opportunities, empowering young people, or supporting projects in Gombe, these same critics would likely have been asking what tangible value his years in office brought to his state. Now that there is visible evidence of contribution, the complaint has changed. So the question remains: what exactly do these mischief makers want? Should public officials be condemned for remembering their roots and ensuring their communities are not left behind? Or is the real issue that visible performance naturally creates political goodwill? Public service should not become a liability simply because it earns appreciation. At the end of the day, narratives can be manufactured, but impact is difficult to erase. Projects can be seen. Opportunities can be traced. Beneficiaries can testify. And sometimes, the strongest response to criticism is not argument but evidence. @ProfIsaPantami
