Just in: The NBA will hold a vote at the Board of Governors meetings March 24-25 to explore adding expansion teams exclusively in Las Vegas and Seattle, with the two franchises targeted for the 2028-29 season, sources tell ESPN. There is momentum for stakeholders to approve surveying what industry executives project will be bids in the $7-to-$10 billion range for each team.

Garland hasn’t scored in 23 games. That’s reflected in this price. So is 6x$6M extension signed last summer. #Canucks were clearly motivated to sell. Got out before value sinks further, rather than play this hand at the draft. In a fertile market, it’s underwhelming return.

I’m told there have been no calls on Jake. His AAV is not onerous (5.5 million). 5 more years on the deal and only one more year on his NMC. I don’t believe #Canucks would be willing to retain on him

Hasn’t asked out yet. Thought around him is he’s very open to a move. Don’t believe there has been as many calls as people might think on Jake. Feel like a lot of their business will come down to Friday. Teams aren’t lining up for Canucks players right now.
