I've been told that if you watched games on ROOT via a cable provider last year, you will be able to watch them again this year. The exact channel isn't known yet.
I've also been told that MLB and the cable companies might not announce the programming package/channel till the morning of opening day.
Why? Cause they know it doesn't matter, you'll still pay and watch.

YouTube TV has been battling with multiple sports networks in the past. If other teams like the Padres, D'Backs and others under the MLB umbrella for production and distribution weren't on YouTube TV last year or this year, then the Mariners won't be either. .

@RyanDivish I had ROOT with FUBO last season. I switched to YOUTUBETV because I couldn’t watch Olympics and Super Bowl on FUBO. YTTV didn’t carry ROOT last year. Nobody can tell me if they’ll carry the M’s this season. Probably need to get Mariners.tv thru MLB

@nicolecarolee YouTube TV doesn't even carry MLB Network and hasn't carried team's RSN's in the past. Since it's a full streaming provider and not a cable or satellite provider, MLB would rather have people just their app and subs.

To anyone confused about how to watch the Mariners this year, it should be in the same cable package that you used last year. Still not super clear yet, but not the M’s fault. They’re waiting on more info from the MLB, which could be Opening Day. Paraphrasing @RyanDivish here

What I won't do is subscribe to a streaming service just to watch games. Games that aren't on cable, well that's what radio is for.
