First, I wanted to thank you for bringing the SAVE America Act to the Senate floor for debate. Second, please continue debate on the bill & do NOT invoke cloture on the SAVE America Act unless we have 60 votes. Third, please consider continuing to work through the weekend &/or not recessing from March 30 - April 10. If you made that decision & focused on reopening the Department of Homeland Security, you & your Republican caucus would be heroes to millions of Americans, as well as the unpaid TSA agents. Furthermore, please know that we can be your greatest allies. We can be your bullhorn. We can be your peaceful ammunition. We can give you the support of millions of voices that desperately want election security. 5 years ago today... A full year with no in-person learning. They only went part-time after this and still had to do social distancing, and they never resumed his social skills small group and other therapies (he has language disabilities). I'll never forget. I can't. We're still making up for what was lost. He's doing well at his job and has completed a few semesters of community college, but the non-scientific lockdowns and restrictions made what was already going to be a challenging transition immensely difficult.

I wouldn't doubt that this is happening ... not even a little bit. Long ago, when our oldest was on an IEP, every time I would go into those meetings, it was obvious I was the opposition. And they'd go into a long list of everything our daughter wasn't doing right. At first, I just sat and listened (and would then sit in my car crying), but after so many meetings where I was told how much of a failure my daughter was (in much kinder terms, of course), I finally lost my patience and asked them what she was doing WELL. You'd have thought I'd asked them to solve some crazy math problem. It never occurred to them to make note of what she was accomplishing, how she was growing, and where she was shining. Months later, I had to travel for work, and while I was gone, our daughter missed me and was upset ... like any child would be if their mom was out of town. In their actual paperwork, in the IEP itself, they wrote that my leaving her for TWO DAYS had caused a setback in her progress. They put that in the documentation. Not even kidding. I pulled her off her IEP when I got back ... And yes, this is the same daughter who is now in college and graduating a year early with two degrees. Sorry, this ended up being much longer than I originally planned, but the way these so-called experts treat parents who are LITERALLY THE EXPERTS when it comes to our children just infuriates me. Moms and dads, you know your children best. Do not let them bully or boss you around. You are your child's best advocate in every situation. You are the experts.

Keep this in mind. A regime that murders and rapes their own citizens by the thousands. That did so to millions of others with their proxies in Iraq, Syria, Lebanon, Gaza, and Yemen. A regime that chants “death to America” at every legislative session and is responsible for thousands of dead Americans. A regime that plotted to assassinate the current U.S. President and several other Americans on U.S. soil. That has been behind 20+ terror plots in the UK over just the last year. There’s just no way to honestly spin someone acting as an agent of such a regime and coordinating with them as promising American interests or being “America first”.
