@chrismiller558 @DrewskysChannel That's how it used to be in the earlier playtests. They changed it because kitted players were winning too many fights against frees where the free had both advantage and the first shot.

@DrewskysChannel Also could maybe drop base health 100, and make 30 the shield default. Purples have the same HP as Blues, but have utility perks and Gold can be the only place you get 4 segments of the original 20 per segment. Blue health feels best TTK overall rn.

Taking a break from MM talk, an idea I had for a rework to shields: Rather than a linear scale for health gain on shields (currently 20HP per tier), diminishing returns on for higher quality but an increased focus on utility. White +20 HP (140 HP total as current) Green +30 HP (170 HP total) Blue +20 HP (190 HP total) Purple/Gold +10 HP (200 total - same as current) Purple & Gold shields focus on utility. Purple shield types like "Lightweight Shields" that focus on stat bonuses like agility. Gold shields utility continue on the current trend of perk-like bonuses and efficiency like current Spectre & Reinforced variants. I think this would aid some of the early hours of the game and fast TtK issues at the lower end. Could technically be more aggressive towards green or blue shields as well, but just an example idea.

It sends gentle sound waves through the skull to the area of the brain that processes smell. Current VR smell systems use cartridges that need constant refills and can make a mess. This new method is cleaner and could one day let people smell virtual worlds like forests or oceans naturally. The project is still in early prototype stage from a small research team. Safety levels were kept low, but more testing is needed.

@Ziegler_Dev The issue is stack overflow not the WSTR. WSTR is just the only gun that can abuse it. Fix stack overflow and the other reload mods by giving it a random chance to round up based off its fractional overflow value rather than always rounding up.

UPDATE: WTF WSTRs We're gonna take a shot at bringing the WSTR more in line. Right now it's become a dominant option and is eclipsing a lot of the other short range options that exist in the game. SOOOOOO... as of Tuesday 4/21 (likely 8AM PT) the WSTR will no longer be able to down an enemy player who has blue shields or above with two shots. The ideal is that in a majority of cases this will force a reload in scenarios where the target has a blue shield, allowing for some more counterplay in these scenarios. What Will Change: - Change will go live Tuesday 4/21 in the morning. Likely 8AM PT. - WSTRs can still down a green shielded target with 2 direct shots at short rang - WSTRs will no longer be able to down a blue and above shielded target with 2 shots at short range. We're still keeping an eye on a variety of balance issues. Thanks for all the feedback, keep it coming and we'll keep hammering at it.

Game was fine until March 6 patch, since then patches have been getting stranger and stranger. I don't think the game has a future if it can't keep new players interested and keeps pushing old players away with random "op for a month" character balancing.
