As bad as the protesters were in Ottawa, they were nothing compared to the FLQ.
Fears of econ damage is no excuse to suspend civil rights.

@LukaszukAB Any time a democratic government suspends civil liberties outside of war time, it's almost always wrong.
Trudeau senior did it and had a 80% approval rating or something like that. Decades later, we realized it was wrong and changed the war measures act to the EA.
